This is a beautiful property on the River. The staff were so wonder and accommodating. Room were clean and relaxing. The hotel is close to the historic downtown. The experience was so nice we stayed an extra night.

Very beautiful new building. Our room even had a peloton bike. Comfortable beds. Kind and welcoming staff even with our very late arrival at one in the morning.!

Checkin was a breeze and they were very helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Shower water could get hotter but other than that, it was perfect!

Great stay, excellent staff, the facility is in new condition. Their restaurant is not open on Sunday but a good pub/restaurant is located next door The in-room coffee features a Keurig clone coffeemaker. However their artificial creamer was not picked by a coffee drinker, it was really bad. This applies to most hotels.

This hotel was very clean quiet and easy to get to. BUT they charged me TWICE for my stay. If I hadn’t noticed I would have paid more than double for one night! Funny thing is I didn’t have any contact with them, They blamed the credit card being different between Expedia and their app but that isn’t true because that’s how I noticed the double charge on the same card.

Sorry for the double charge. Upon making the reservation Expedia usually charges your card and then Expedia sends the hotel a different credit card from them for the hotel to charge for the room and tax. At check the hotel does ask for a credit card that is for incidentals only. I'm sure we fell short and charged your card instead of the Expedia card. Again, sorry our fault. Nice place
Stopped overnight on the way to a ski trip. Staff was friendly at check in. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great but needed more options for children. Price was high to order them anything and like most kids, only ate half of it.

Nice place needs small changes.
Nice hotel and great staff. The large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion etc in the room are disgusting! I do t want to use these after other people. Please go back to the small individual bottles! The restaurant is very overpriced and the food is well below average!

We got a room right next to the hallway door so we got to hear it slam all night and all morning. Also spent over $200 and no water bottles or breakfast included. No sleep, breakfast or water.

Pickle ball and Bocce courts at HGI
A very nice new HGI, in a soon to be super area of Trinidad. Pickle ball and Bocce courts are being built in a park across the street from the hotel.

The Hotel is very nice but the walls are paper thin. Unfortunately we were next to a room where the other guests had the TV on loud all night. Impossible to sleep. The staff was unsuccessful in getting the guest to turn it off

When booking through Hotels, there was an option to pay $60 ($20/person) extra for breakfast. I paid it. Staff told me since the restaurant is operated by a separate company, there is no way to honor this. Lost $60 and didn’t get breakfast.

Very Nice
So happy to find a new place to stay in Trinidad, a place we often pass through. Everything is bright shiny, modern, and new. Service was friendly and great. We needed an extra pillow and it came quickly. I loved the view from our room, I don’t think you can go wrong on either side of the building. The Christmas decor is beautiful. We will stay here again.

Finally a really nice hotel in Trinidad
Great hotel and proximity to downtown area. Only thing that they need to work on is the food at the restaurant. The food looked great just wasn’t so good. The orange juice was watered down and the waitress said it has been like that and everyone complains, why not change it then? But the hotel was superb!

Perhaps this is a trend, but I have never had a two day stay at a hotel in which the room was not made up. I'm not talking about replacing towels, I'm talking about no service at all. A bit disconcerting.

Booked what I thought to be a higher end hotel. It was a disappointment. The room was dirty and trying to get to the hotel via GPS was horrid. The staff was polite but not exactly attentive. There is still construction being done near the front entrance. GPS will lead you through the construction and not to the hotel entrance. There was what I thought to be stains on the bathroom floor. I took a washcloth to it and it was dirt. Painfully obvious that the cleaning staff didn't mop the floor between guests.

quality good, customer service needs work
This was a good room and very clean. The check in was misleading and the clerk told us that breakfast is "at 9". When we showed up we were told, quite rudely, "nothing is free here." I get that there is not a lot of breakfast available in town and free breakfast is a thing with most hotels so let people down nicely. I would have gladly paid for breakfast if we were told politely that they were sorry for any miscommunication, and breakfast is not complimentary by the way. That should have been clear at check-in. Other than that, it was fine. The quality is what I would expect at a Hilton. I will never stay in Trinidad again, however. This town was very sad and the service most places was unfriendly. The room was immaculately clean and had nice television choices. There were multiple chairs to sit which made it nice.

The hotel itself is new and spacious. Rooms are large and accommodating. Workers are friendly. Unfortunately the room was not clean. A dirty towel had been folded and put up as if new. There was body fluids on a painting above the bed and blood stain on a pillow. Our room was located near a hallway entrance and it banged loudly all through the night so we got zero sleep.
