'Any island in norther Australia is going to be expensive as all equipment and consumables come by barge. This accommodation was still very good value for money. 'This was a wonderful place to stay and visit the Great Barrier Reef. The hotel is perfectly located, with a 5 minute walk to the marina where all the tours begin for the Great Barrier Reef. 'It’s in a great location right in the heart of the city entertainment area. The room was absolutely stunning and the staff were great. The only slight negative is that we were on level 4 and the rooftop bar was quite loud until after 10pm and then the set up for breakfast (assumption) started about 5.30am.'

Bit hi tech - took me20 minutes to find the safe and several hours to work out howto turn off the light to the tea/ fridge area! The on site food was a bit basic, I arrived keen for lunch and menue was limited and expensive but all in all a great stay.'
