I must admit....
I was skeptical when I pulled up in front of this suburban home. But once I was inside, everything was wonderful and professional, and I was well taken care of.

Quaint and tasteless
Felt very cramped and garage sale kitschy with a closet size bathroom. Knees were to my chest when sitting on the toilet.

We are sorry you felt that way. All our rooms are described with photos on our website. The room you selected is quaint as you say. It has a small bathroom with shower and is also our most economical room. Many people have been happy with this room in the past as it offers what they require for an overnight stay prior to catching, or returning on the Tsawwassen - Vancouver Island ferry.

とても狭いです。靴を玄関で脱がないといけませんし、2階までは階段しかないのでもしもたくさん荷物がある方は不便です。普通の民家で、部屋にとても狭いシャワーとトイレと洗面があるだけなのでお風呂に入りたい方はお勧めできません。部屋自体はとても清潔ですがアメニティなどは期待しないほうが良いです。子供はお断りだそうなのでもしお子さんと予約希望の方は年齢確認をされると良いと思います。 家の近く徒歩10分ほどに大きなモールがあるのはとても便利でした。

This individual sent us an "unhappy" emoticon in the late evening with regards to status of their check in. We immediately replied and asked what seemed to be the problem; we received no reply. We never did see or hear this individual enter the guesthouse and there was no indication they had entered their assigned room. We where present the entire day & evening.

This was a perfect solution for us as we were taking the ferry in the morning. It was very nice to get a hot cooked breakfast before we took off and it began our day very nicely.

The property is very close to the ferry terminal, which is great. the water was not very warm; so I did not have a shower. Also the room temperature was quite chilly. The host was accommodating and kind.

Very friendly host, excellent breakfast
We only stayed one night after arriving late from Vancouver Island. The accomodation is indeed hard to find since it's a developing area. But the host provides a detailed description. You can enter the accomodation via a provided door code, hence late arrivals are no issue. The host is very welcoming and prepares a delicious breakfast.

Lovely home away from home
Wonderful guest house. Close to the Ferry. Bruce made us a delicious breakfast and as well, the breakfast room had tea and coffee service available all day. We will recommend Seagrass Guest House to anyone wanting accommodation near the ferry for sure !

Delightful little B&B
My stay at the Seagrass Guesthouse was lovely. My host Bruce was very accommodating to my early departure for the ferry and prepared an early breakfast for me. My room was quite nice and my only very minor quibble was that the shower was a bit small, but the fact that the room had its own bathroom more than made up for it!

Terrific little B&B. Our room was as clean or cleaner than the cleanest hotel room. We had outstanding washroom facilities. The proprietor was very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable.

Lovely Little spot
I had a restful experience here while touring Vancouver and southwest BC. I found the owners to be approachable and was absolutely welcomed my whole time here. I don't really have anything bad to say about it. If you're looking for a more homely experience without the "McFranchise" feel of travel this is a great spot.

My stay was very brief, arriving late at night and leaving early to catch the first ferry from Tsawwassen, so I didn't get more than a taste of the place, but the bed was comfortable and it is very convenient for the ferry.

Not good value for the money.
Very hot weather and no a/c in our room, just a fan, which wasn't good enough. Door of our private room didn't lock. Breakfast minimal. The room was nicely decorated but overall not good value for the price. Wouldn't stay there again.

first pleased with the condition and cleanness of the facility, then found the air conditioning was shut off no matter what the programmed settings were. the room was at 32°C!!! the AC control didn't work at all. called the owner twice and got no response. had to open a bedroom window and the washroom ventilation to cool down. the latter was quite noisy, so had to wait till the room temperature became tolerable.

The average temperature in our area in the summery is about 21 - 22 the highest during the day. Air conditioning is very rare in here because we do not need it. So we do not have air conditioning. The thermostat in the bathroom is a floor heating system showing the temperature of the bathroom floor not the room. You must mistakenly turned the floor heating system on.

Don't go there...ever.
I arrived at the set time to find a locked door. I did not stay. No one answered the door or the phone number provided to me. I was then billed for the stay 3 months later. I went there to attend a friends celebration of life who was murdered. I will never have a single thing good to say. The worst experience of my life.

Hi James, Please look at your email, we sent you everything you need to check in. We always wait for our guests at least till mid-night and we kept the door unlocked if there is guest not arrived yet. We didn't hear any door bell or knock. Bruce phone is always on, and we have his number on the front door for guest to contact. Our room at the front just by the front entrance, but we didn't hear anything. Very comfortable and perfect location.
Lovely guest house in a residential neighbourhood very near a mall and BC Ferries. Great breakfast. Only drawback is construction that starts early in the morning right across from the guest house. But if you're an early riser it's not a problem.

We're going to Victoria and this was a good place to stay overnight before catching the ferry to Victoria. What a wonderful surprise very nice great owers. Close to the new mall and real close to ferry.

Lovely inn
Very lovely inn! The room was very comfortable and there was a very nice breakfast. The innkeeper was nice enough to give us a ride to the ferry terminal. The local area is very convenient for the ferry, but heavy construction nearby detracted from the natural beauty. Still, a very nice stay, and I would stay there again if I were taking the morning ferry to Victoria.

great place close to the ferry
I chose this place because it is under 3 miles to the Tsawwassen Ferry. I arrived too early to check in but was delighted to find the huge shopping mall nearby so I could have a good walk out of the rain and a quick visit to the food court. I felt safe and welcome at the accommodation and enjoyed talking to the other guests while getting a cup of tea. I also felt very private in my spacious and comfortable room. Would stay here again.
