The staff was great. Hotel and rooms were clean. I did have a broken fridge and running toilet in my room. I was only there for 2 nights, so I never bothered to report it. Otherwise, everything was great.

The bad stuff: The room service food was overpriced for the mediocre quality it was. The “smashburger” tasted like a double bacon cheeseburger from Jack in the Box. The bbq wings were delivered cold and lacked flavor, it just tasted like the sauce was store brought. We ordered sodas but they were never delivered to our room. The cocktails at the pool were also expensive and there weren’t impressive. It just tasted like bottom shelf alcohol with a simple mixer. I expect unique handcrafted cocktails for the prices I’m paying. The adult pool is too close to the kids pools so you can hear kids screaming the whole time. The pool area was very dirty throughout the day, with trash laying everywhere including by the adult pools. The good stuff: The self parking was very easy. The views around the property are nice. The rooms are also very nice and what I expected from the website gallery.

Had no clue that the property was under renovation, so there was limited facilities, the polls getting outdated and very limited items at the pool for premium drinks. Been going to this property for years and it’s definitely losing its luster… I wish the app would’ve told me that half of the properties under construction… Bad experience.

Staff members at the front desk were rude and unwelcoming. I don’t think we fit the demographic for the guests that stay at this property so they didn’t care much to help us with our questions about the amenities offered and extending our stay. Disappointing to say the least, because this was a beautiful place to stay. Wish we could’ve stayed another night but the front desk was unwilling to help us find an available room. Twice they referred me to Expedia and to search other websites for availability on their property. I’ve never encountered this disconnect when trying to extend a stay.

Charged me for my room but insisted it didn’t go through, even upon showing the charge to my account in my bank app. They ran my card 8 times after that without my knowledge and rang my room incessantly asking for updated card. I spent my morning on the phone with my bank getting the approval code for their accountant. Great property but I couldn’t even call down for room service without a new card being mentioned. I was charged the initial time it was run. They got the proof and my 500 dollars. Won’t stay there again

This is a beautiful property. We didn't interact with much staff but the housekeeping was great. It's just that the room was a little worn out especially curtains and bathroom shower floor. Something to be very AWARE of! We had a friday night flight out of SEA for a 4 night prepaid reservation,that was delayed, delayed and then canceled. We had made the hotel aware of the delay and finally the cancelation over 3 phone calls and let them know we would not be arriving for our reservation until sunday at which point Mr. Front Desk informed us that we were considered a no show and our prepaid reservation was no longer honored.... we were traveling with my 75 year old mother and should we have continued on our trip would have had no where to stay. I have contacted the property on several media outlets and heard absolutely no response. We have traveled with Marriott properties for several week to month long vacations and this is most certainly our last! If someone has paid in full for a stay and travel delays their arrival, their room should most certainly remain available. Mr. FRONT DESK was very clear that our reservation would not be honored or refunded. WESTIN you can do better. And travel insurance does not cover day of delay....

We have stayed at La Paloma many times over the past 34 years and it is still a beautiful place to be. However, there is some signs the property isn’t being maintained quite as well as it used to be. There was a noticeable musty odor in our room and some of the areas showed signs of wear. It is still a stunning location and we likely will be back.
