Public Buses

- ADO Bus Station (Tulum Centro): The main long-distance bus service in Tulum connects to destinations like Playa del Carmen, Cancun, and other cities. It’s safe, reliable and affordable for longer trips outside town.

Buses are ideal if you’re planning excursions or travel between cities without driving yourself.

Colectivos (Shared Vans)
- Colectivos are local shared vans that travel along the Carretera 307 between towns like Playa del Carmen and Tulum. They are one of the most affordable ways to get around like a local.
- They can also drive you from Aldea Tulum Plus to the center of tulum and the hotel zone.

You can flag them down on the highway or find stops in town. They drop off passengers at popular points along the route, including near Tulum Centro.

Taxis
- Taxis are widely available for short trips within Tulum or between downtown, beaches, and residential areas like Aldea Tulum Plus.
- Taxis in Tulum do not use meters, so it’s important to agree on a fare before you start your trip.
- While convenient, taxis can be more expensive than buses or colectivos.
