We stayed 6 nights at this adorable home, and really enjoyed it. The house was clean and comfortable, with its own charming beachside palapa. Snorkeling is big for me, and Soliman Bay did not disappoint - healthy reefs with lots of fish just a short swim away (you can also take the kayaks out to the reef and tie up on buoy). There are two restaurants just a short 5-10 min walk from the house, and both were great with friendly staff and delicious food (pricey but on par with beach restaurants in tourist areas). We did not even rent a car, since we had everything we needed just a short walk or swim away (host arranged transport that let us stop at grocery store on way to the house). Seaweed was not bad at all while we were there - the staff cleared the beach every morning, and the house is located central on the bay (south end of the bay got it much worse). Soliman Bay is a private community of villas with one road in and security, so this is definitely more peaceful and safe than many other areas. However, events do happen at villas here so don’t expect total silence. A few communication hiccups with the host upon arrival, but they were graciously resolved and we would strongly recommend the company, the house, and the area for other travelers looking for a more peaceful experience in a beautiful place with easy snorkeling right out the door. It was hard to leave, and we hope to visit this beautiful area again soon.
