Highly recommend staying here!!!
We had an amazing experience staying in the casita. Clayanna was so nice and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The sounds from the jungle during the night were very soothing, and being away from all the city was a plus. But meeting Pepe was the highlight of our stay. Would definitely stay there again! 100% recommend! Thank you Clayanna and Pepe for hosting us!

We loved our stay at Casa Milagros! I’m very glad we had an SUV, as the road is a little bumpy, I was glad we had it for multiple reasons around Tulum as well so 10/10 recommend renting an SUV for your stay. Clayanna is so lovely and has the best energy, she gave us wonderful advice and was very respectful of our space. Pepe the coati is one of the highlights of our entire trip, he reminded me a lot of one of my house cats! Very playful and has a mind of his own, he does have claws and teeth to be mindful of but he never was trying to hurt anyone, just playing! He was the sweetest and so fun. The casita was better than I imagined from pictures, very romantic! It is off grid and run by solar power so sometimes that power would run out around 4 am so the fans would turn off but that was never a problem. We loved our stay and are so glad we chose Casa Milagros!

Jungle get away
We loved our stay in the jungle. It was quiet and peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable. It was just what we needed. There is a rooftop patio with hammocks and chairs. We would just lay in the hammocks and watch the sunset followed by the stars coming out. Tulum proper is about 15 minutes away by car and the beach 20 something minutes away. Cenotes are even closer and are amazing to explore. If you don't mind being off grid, we highly recommend it.

Exceeded expectations by far!!
My partner and I had the most wonderful time staying here! We are outdoorsy and love exploring so each day was full of exciting adventures and new experiences. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay for three additional nights rather than going to stay in the hotel zone of Tulum. I can’t recommend this home away from home enough. I can’t wait to return!

Beautiful, but very little privacy.
First, the positive things. This property is on a beautiful piece of land in the middle of the jungle. It is just far enough away from Tulum to feel relaxing, while still being close to everything. We spent some time in and around Coba, and so the location was perfect for us. A group of monkeys also comes through in the mornings and evenings, and we were able to get some excellent photos of one particularly curious young monkey. And the sounds of the jungle at night were amazing! The accommodations are rustic, but we knew that going in and we weren’t bothered by that at all. The biggest drawback to this property is that it is far less private than the listing suggests. Based on the photos and description, I believed that the outdoor kitchen was against the wall of the building we would be staying in, and that the rooftop seating area was on the roof of that same building. I therefor thought there would be quite a bit of privacy. I’m reality, the treehouse you are renting is basically right beside the house that Clayanna lives in. You have to walk around her house to get to the treehouse. Your outdoor kitchen is against the exterior wall of her house, and the rooftop seating area is on top of her roof. And her kitchen window looks out in the direction of the outdoor shower, which is only somewhat obscured by the plants. We were very disappointed by all of this. We felt like we had to tip-toe around in the morning when making coffee, and felt awkward spending much time relaxing at the property. Particularly since Vrbo advertises the privacy of their properties, the description for this property really should have been more clear about the lack of privacy at this property. Finally, we were not a fan of Pepe, the resident coati. He was quite aggressive and actually bit me hard enough to draw blood. I felt bad asking for Pepe to be locked up, and so I didn’t do so, but I also didn’t want to spent time at the property while he was out of his cage. As a result, we ended up spending very little time at the property relaxing. In then, there are some wonderful aspects to this property, but I would not stay there again.

YIKES! Yours has been the only rating below a 4 star, of which there have been only 6 out of 120+ 5 star reviews! I only mix Pepe with renters who want him. Some do, some don't. He has a large cage and sleeps in a hammock; a Mayan at heart! In fact, I cannot get him out of his cage before 8am so his accommodations are very comfortable when people want a pet free vacation. My home and the tree house are the only homes on the 4 acres of heavily treed jungle property. While this is a gentle jungle, it is a jungle all the same. There are all sorts of creatures who live cooperatively here. People who are not familiar with jungle living, are not always mindful of the risks, so another person on the property, is most often appreciated. The renters " living room" is the roof of my home connected to the tree house by way of a boardwalk. It is good sized with hammocks, outdoor furniture, and evening solar twinkle lights. I'm gone alot but when I'm home, I cannot see my roof top. I also cannot see into the tree house due to the interior tree house blinds and the humidal plants featured in the profile picture. All feedback is appreciated though, so I will include a panoramic photo. Thanks so much Adam, you guys were great guests!

Off grid jungle paradise
The jungle casita was a rejuvenating two nights for us. We were hoping for a quiet peaceful connection with nature. We got exactly that. I tried to keep track of the number of spider monkeys that swung freely from the trees above us, but lost track! We spotted 3 pairs of Toucans and flocks of parrots from the upper deck while laying in hammocks. The wildlife was unforgettable. it was cacophony of birds, insects, tree frogs? and “monkeys night life”. The Casita was also unforgettable, with a very comfortable bed, a hammock chair, a small dresser and 2 end tables, plus a private natural compost toilet. The screens in the casita allowed for a constant breeze. We love camping so we loved outdoor shower!!! and the outdoor kitchen made us feel at home. All this was nestled in a jungle forest. I can’t say enough about the one-ness I felt with nature. My husband thanked me for booking this gem for us. Thank you Clayanna. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I miss your wild little Pepe, already.

Clayanna is a wonderful host and provides a clean, comfortable accommodation in a terrific setting. One thing to be aware of is, for us the Internet signal was weak and undependable. If you don’t require Internet this place is a jewel.

Hey Dex, Thanks for sharing about the internet. The rooftop sitting area was moved just prior to your arrival to accommodate the new hammocks! It is far from the router...I will move it back pronto to avoid this issue!

Jungle Paradise
We spent a glorious week in the casita, waking to bird calls and one morning spider monkeys in the nearby trees. The casita was a peaceful retreat from Tulum center. Given how much environment-destroying development is consuming Tulum and surroundings, we also had the peace of mind that our impact as tourists on the land was about as minimal as possible. The casita is completely solar powered and uses a composting toilet. The low-impact lodging does not, however, mean guests sacrifice comfort: the bed is excellent, enclosed by mosquito netting, which is added protection because the casita itself is double-screened. There’s plenty of hot water for the outdoor shower—you can shower in the moonlight peeking through the giant leaves offering privacy. The outdoor kitchen is well provisioned, though there is no refrigeration, only a cooler. Tucked two miles into the jungle, the casita is hard to find, and you will need to rent a car, but once there, it’s quiet and secure. When we first arrived, the owner met us at a Pemex station a few kilometers away and showed us the way (and was wonderfully gracious when we were very late for our rendezvous : ) We highly recommend the casita for those who care about the environment, love nature, and seek tranquility. But it’s also close enough to Tulum to take advantage of the restaurants and beaches. There are several cenotes on the road between the casita and Tulum. Bonus: a semi-tame coatimundi lives in the main house and is adorable!

Most amazing stay
I stayed in a lot of places on my holiday, and this was the best. The pictures don't do it justice, the wildlife is fabulous and Clayanna is a wonderful person to meet. The sounds of the jungle at night, meeting Pepe, the coati - and Lucio the local caretaker - seeing toucans and an agouti, and being off grid but simultaneously close to Tulum (out of the tourist sphere) and it's beaches - what a fabulous experience. So worth it.

The communication from Clayanna and then Lucio was very detailed from the start. Lucio met us at the gate and we followed him to the casita. Wow- what a casita it is!! Beautiful nature in the jungle with everything you could need. We spent time around the property with Pepe who was a highlight and Lucio and it was very recharging. The bed was more comfortable than any other place we stayed on this trip. The kitchen was easy to use and then we had meals on the roof to enjoy whatever the weather brought. We swam in the gran cenote (so close by!), went to the public beach, ate delicious food. We actually ended up coming back down to Tulum often even after we migrated our trip up north. I recommend this for anyone to leave your work behind and appreciate nature and the beauty of Tulum and it’s people. This stay really set the tone for our trip and we won’t ever forget it.

Clayanna was a great host and Lucio was kind and diligent about keeping the space clean and comfortable. Bear in mind that this eco lodge won’t have your typical amenities. You shower, cook, and dine outside. Trash and waste management is a compost system. No a/c, only fans. But if you are down to rough it just a bit it’s a beautiful place to stay. Tucked away in a literal jungle (10 minutes on a winding dirt road) you’ll be immersed in the sights and sounds of wildlife. The stars are plenty and you get to enjoy the company of geckos, toucans, monkeys, and the resident rescue coati, Pepe. Not for everyone but highly recommend.

Incredible sanctuary!
This place is great! Hopefully you know what you are signing up for. Low amenities with barebones kitchen. We love that kind of simplicity! Even the drive to the place was wonderful. We ran from the Casita to the main road (just under 2 miles RT) every day and the jungle is just stunning. Lots of friendly wildlife! Make sure you have a car or other simple way to get in and out of town (Tulum), as it takes roughly 10 minutes each way. It's also about 30 minutes from the Coba ruins and cenotes.

Trip of a Lifetime
This was one of the best travel experiences we've ever had and Clayanna's property played a large part of that. Located far enough away from town that the night sky is a spectacle and the only sounds you'll hear at night are the jungle animals and the rain, but you can be to the heart of the town of Tulum in 20 minutes by car. We saw an array of wildlife (including the pleasure of her befriended coati named Peppe!), drank coffee/wine on the deck during sun + thunderstorms, gazed at the stars, and had some of the best sleep of our lives in the home. We have no complaints or feedback for improvement; you can tell Clayanna took a lot of time and poured her heart/soul into making this a magical place. We can't wait to come back. Book this place. You will not regret it.

The place was amazing! The jungle setting was beautiful and peaceful. Clayanna is a thoughtful host who anticipated our needs beautifully. Lucio the groundskeeper was helpful and responsive. The casita is comfortable and just what we needed. However, for us the star of the show was Pepe! Pepe is a rescue coati who lives on the property and if you like animals you’ll want to meet him. However, if you’re not into wildlife then no worry, he has his own space and will not bother you unless you ask to see him. We loved him and spent our mornings having coffee and playing with Pepe. He made our trip all the more amazing. Bottom line, it’s a great place to stay with a wonderful host and staff and the added bonus of Pepe if you choose to interact t with him. My rating is: all the stars for Casita Milagros!

Unique Stay
I was looking for somewhere different to stay other than the typical all inclusive resort on the beach. That is what I found in this place The site allowed me to split my time between beaches and historical sites. It is definitely a jungle environment which provided the unique restorative environment I wanted. No television and spotty cell service made it perfect! More importantly it is a sustainable property which I believe in very strongly. The owner put a lot of thought into the casita. There are hammocks, seating areas, and a comfortable bed. The lights around the site add a special ambiance. There is no AC but the screened windows and ceiling fan make a comfortable sleeping environment. There are a few things to know before you go...the site is 2 miles into the site. There are other homes but they sit on their own large plots and can barely be seen. The area is gated. As deep jnto the jungle as I was, I never felt unsafe. In fact I think I felt safer because noone was around. All basic necessities are provided including bathroom tissue and basic cooking supplies. The casita even has an umbrella and snorkeling gear. That said, overpack. There are no laundry facilities on site...I used the shower and environmentally friendly soap. There are detergent sheets now that are eco friendly that might be beneficial. There are laundry facilities in town but that will be a 15 km drive. And those facilities are soooo hot. I like to pack light which was really a mistake this time. I would also bring a flashlight in case you want to walk around at night. Or have to find your keys in the dark like I did! Rent a car. You will want to get into town to buy food to eat or have dinner. The site is close to Coba ruins and several cenotes so having a car will help if you want to tour the area. There are also some Mayan villages that are nice to go to...but you need a car. Because this site has a gravel road, and other local areas do, too, I recommend a car that is not low to the ground. I had a Chevy Cavalier which always seemed to drag the bottom esp going over the infamous Mexican road bumps! Next time I will splurge on a crossover or Jeep. Final thoughts...this site is not accesssible.

A great escape from the hustle and bustle of Tulum
This place is amazing. The owner has a pet coati named Pepe that she rescued. There are spider monkeys and toucans in the trees in the property. Although it is very dry, it is jungle so if you are worried about insects, using a composting toilet, jungle noises and no ac, this is likely not the place for you. I loved it! I work virtually and was able to do online meetings while relaxing in a jungle setting.

Words cannot describe how magical this place is, but that feeling you get after watching a breathtaking sunset is close. The hustle of Tulum melts away as soon as you step on the property. We loved all of the little details decorating the pathways and the lights at night were the cherry on top. Everyday we would relax here, listening to the sounds of the jungle. Be sure to carve out some time to enjoy this gem .

Beautiful but remote and hard to find
Clayanna is the perfect host - she’s kind but leaves you to your own devices. Detail, love and intention are infused into every aspect of the property. It’s very rustic, basically camping. And it’s truly in the middle of nowhere which is what I wanted but there’s no good markers on the road, no GPS, spotty service, and a two lane highway that’s not the safest. One night I got lost and had to rent a random hotel room because I couldn’t find the turn, get in touch with Clayanna, and the road was dangerous to get there and I had already turned around too many times before I gave up. Plus on my drive down the dirt road on the previous evening a mean and scary dog came rushing at my car and tried jumping in my window. It was terrifying. Overall the place was charming but as a single woman traveling alone I do not recommend staying here. Also, a car is mandatory.

amazing jungle experience
such a wonderful experience in the jungle. clayanna is amazing and made our stay incredible. she is just wonderful to be around and my only complaint is not staying longer. the space is awesome with a rustic eco vibe with a refreshing outdoor shower (hot water available) and compost toilet. the bed is so so comfy. the surroundings are so peaceful. some people who stay have a car and go to coba to the cenotes from casa de milagros but we didn’t have a car and still enjoyed relaxing on the property. there is wifi everywhere except inside the room which actually allows for a nice relaxing space. there is an outdoor kitchen so bring food from the market to cook. clayanna was nice enough to give us a ride to and from town. i really will come back and i can’t wait. thank you so much.

A Romantic and Special Home
My boyfriend and I stayed here after 5 days in a wedding party at an all-inclusive resort. We are both very outdoorsy and love sustainable-style living. This place tickled every one of our fancies. Unfortunately we were unable to meet Clayanna, but she was incredibly responsive over the phone and one of the gentlemen that works there was very helpful and pleasant. The whole home is magic. Be prepared when you get there, for there is food in the next small town or food in Tulum... but we preferred to buy our food at the supermarket and cook on the stove provided. The forest is lush and beautiful and the quiet peacefulness is unforgettable. This was such a special way to end a perfect trip.

A Travel Highlight
If you are looking for something completely different, this is the spot for you. Clayanna met us on the 307 to welcome us to Tulum and lead us to her home deep in the jungle. It's hard to avoid using the word 'magical' when describing our stay here. It is truly beautiful and serene. While often times boarding is background noise in a travel experience, this was one of our favorite aspects of our trip. Clayanna is a wonderful host, and a lovely person as well. While we loved our accommodations, this property is not for those who are unwilling to leave behind all comforts of a modern home. But to those people, I will say that you'd be missing out. We not only loved our stay in the "treehouse", we feel like we've made a life-long friend. Clayanna goes out of her way to make your stay in her jungle as pleasant as possible. Casa Milagros feels like you're in the middle of no where but it's a short easy drive to all the fun you can handle.

Wonderful Stay
Clayanna and her property were the perfect addition to our trip. Beautiful grounds in the jungle that really give you the atmosphere you are looking for while visiting the Yucatán. Highly recommend, such a lovely adventure!

Amazing
Clayanna was wonderful: from booking to waiting for us at the store for us to follow her to the property. The treehouse was amazing and had great attention to detail. Going to sleep and waking up to the sounds of the jungle was an experience we will never forget. The treehouse is a short drive to downtown Tulum and very close to several beautiful cenotes. Our only regret is not staying longer.

a little piece of heaven
We are 2 corn cobs from Iowa and we stayed 2 weeks. It was an experience we will never forget. Clayanna met us where she said she would even though we were an hour late. She was gracious and very helpful.The place was clean and the bed was SO comfortable. We loved the outdoor shower. Clayanna put her heart and soul into this property, it's beautiful. She loves everything from the ants to the birds. After a rain one evening we were serenaded by every frog in the area. It was incredible. It's close to everything. The real treat was "Pepe", he is a coati that clayanna rescued as a baby. He's a real character and we miss him already. We highly recommend this secluded hideaway. we planned on a return visit.

My girlfriend and I had a profound sense of calm wash over us upon our arrival at Casa Milagros. The simple, remote, nature abundant setting, with comfortable and forgo use accommodations were just what we needed. Thanks Clayanna!

Beyoooooond Perfection
I cant even tell you how incredible Clayanna and her amazing sustainable treehouse in the jungle is! We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our honeymoon and stayed the nights prior in at a boutique beachfront hotel in downtown Tulum, if I could Go back in time I would just go straight to Clayannas place! It’s so incredibly secluded, and alive with wild animals, such a wonderful experience and a perfect location to be away from it all but also be able to see/do all the touristy things!

Beautiful and Unique off the grid home
My wife and I were looking for a quiet, away from the noise stay that has access to the different attractions. This is a perfect place is you prefer to stay away from the noise while being able to access the beach, ruins, and small town of Tulum. The house was clean, Clayanna was very hospitable, and the experience was all around great. This place is truly unique! I highly recommend it!

Beautiful jungle retreat!
Beautiful and comfortable, gas stove and plastic cooler with ice provided in outdoor kitchen, very special atmosphere, peaceful! Saw a couple monkeys on our walk, been going to Mexico for 20 years and that was a first!

A Piece of Jungle Heaven
There aren't really the words to explain how much we loved the treehouse! It exceeded every expectation - we loved everything from the outdoor shower and seating areas to the cosy room. Clayanna is a wonderful host and we felt very lucky and grateful that she shares this little piece of jungle heaven with her guests! We can't wait to return!
