Shameful
This was a nice enough hotel, but mid-way through my stay, all of the guests were evacuated to a different hotel. Apparently, the hotel went out of business. This closure was planned, but it did not stop Hotels.com or the hotel from making the reservation, beyond the date of closure, and collecting my money. The transfer to the new hotel, under the same management, was arduous. The new hotel demanded that I leave my passport with them as a deposit! I traveled back and forth from the old hotel to complain and they waived this arbitrary requirement in light of my "inconvenience." The new hotel had a faulty A/C. Moreover, walking into town required walking down dirt roads through a shanty town. The management and Hotels.com should be ashamed.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I love that the room had a full fridge and kitchen and all the amenities for cooking as an option. Unfortunately, everyday something went missing. Bringing it up to the concierge solved nothing as the stealing got worse. First day, they cleaned the room they stole my charger. Second day, an entire pack of pads. Third day, they stole my lotion. These are all replaceable but it's the principle. I didn't want them cleaning the room the first night and I put the sign to not clean the room but its windy outside so the sign that I hung on the doorknob was pointless because it flaps in every direction. Thankfully I was smart enough to not bring any valuables with me on this trip. The lotion and pads were in my bookbag so they definitely went through my belongings. I will never come back here regardless of how beautiful this place looks. And to add one more thing, at night you hear everything. If people downstairs are having a good time with their friends, you're guaranteed to hear the music, screaming, laughter and talking. You hear it all. I would've given it 4 stars if it weren't for the stealing.

Great location. Staff was really good at answering questions and meeting needs. Only issue experienced was the smell of the bathroom which was easily resolved by keeping the door closed.

We stayed in a two level apartment looking over the pool and entrance. The air conditioning and wifi worked well. They have a restaurant on site during the day and some brick oven pizza at night; if you don’t feel like leaving the hotel. It’s close to two gas stations and in a great spot to walk into town. The staff was bilingual and a lot of help. My daughter forgot her stuffed elephant and they held onto it for over 4 days until I could come back and get it.

Loved our stay!
We loved staying at Xperience hotel! The apartment was amazing, big and comfortable beds, good A/C, our own jaccuzzi on the terrace, grill for bbq, amazing pool, everything was clean! The best part was the staff, they were very friendly, helpful and professional. The location is a little bit inconvinient due to a bit long walks into town, but if you rent a bicycle or have your own car it’s not a problem. Also it was a bed smell from the bathroom from time to time. There were no free water on our whole stay, which was a bir dissapointing due to the high price. The water in the jaccuzzi was cold. But except from this, we loved everything about xperience hotel, ans would highly recommend to stay here! The pizza (especially Brucatta pizza) from Tikka bar on the 2nd floor was amazing and we had it three days in a row! Highly recommend to try if you stay here.

I highly recommend this place especially if you want an economical way without compromising comfort to stay in Tulum. The grounds were gorgeous, the hotel rooms were optimal. Each room has refrigerator, stove, dishes, sink etc. the patios outside of the room was lovely with seating and tables for relaxing. Concierge was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The amenities are minimal. No wash cloths available even upon request. The room has one small rack for clothing storage. Bathroom counters are minimal. The shower was not very convenient. No shelves or place for soap, razors, shampoo etc. also I wish there were more hooks to hang towels and bathingsuits. Tv was modern with streaming capabilities. There are not USB plug ins. Make sure you have your charging block. Rent scooters cabs can be pricey. The public beaches are great and inexpensive as far as food and beach beds are concerned. My only real gripe about the hotel was the noise levels. Young kids were in the pool at 6:45 am. Not sure how I felt about that given we were asked to keep it down at night due to the families on the property. I think the same courtesy should have been extended to those without families in the am. I would have loved an hour or two more to sleep. Other than that the hotel was great and I will be back!

Beautiful property, really enjoyed my stay, will definitely be back. It’s at the very very end of the strip and there’s a police station on the corner. My husband and i would walk to the strip to get food which i would recommend if you don’t mind walking, depending on where you want to go. But 10/10 highly recommend

I really enjoyed my stay with my family at Xperience Tulum. This hotel is a beauty. Our condo was luxurious and clean. The only draw was they didn’t let us check in before 3pm, even though I reached out several times to let them know we will be arriving early and would appreciate a early check in, due to my mother being sick and needing rest after a long trip. I plan on coming back and staying here soon!

The property is very pretty, looks exactly like the pictures and so do the rooms which are very spacious. I actually ended up spending a lot of time at the hotel bc my boyfriend got sick day 2 so he was stuck in the room. The staff was so friendly and helpful, they changed our sheets daily upon request. The hotel doesn't have regular washcloths only hand towels so i would recommend bringing your own. The staff in the juice bar and room service staff were so pleasant and friendly, and the food was good, i ate there breakfast and lunch daily! The pool area (where i spent most of my time) was quiet and relaxing and never crowded. There are a lot of bugs here, but if that doesn't bother you you'll be fine. The concierge Ro, was also very helpful and you can just ask for a taxi at the front desk and they call for you. Its also a short walk to the main road where the are various local restaurants, liquor stores and shops, but its a lot of dirt when walking. Its not the fanciest so if you're looking for more luxury this isn't for you, but its definitely a cute little spot.

It is a beautiful property with amazing architecture and friendly staff. There are just a few things that could improve, but overall I still love my experience here. After doing my research on hotels in Tulum, power outage seems to be a common issue among many of the hotels in the whole area, so when the power went out for a few hours on a couple of the days, I wasn’t surprised and had no need to complain. It is probably due to the way their energy is naturally sourced. Mosquitos are another thing to deal with but since it is a tropical jungle, it is unavoidable so be prepared to battle mosquitos in your sleep if you’re a foreigner, I hear I don’t bother the locals as much. This isn’t something the hotel has control over, but just a tip if you were to stay here. The pillows I had smelled moldy, it wasn’t the cover but the pillow had soaked in the smell from within. I know hotels only wash the exterior covers of the bed, so maybe they washing whole pillow would be nice. Besides these minor issues, I would still give this place a visit. It truly feels like paradise on earth.

BIG DEAL - is that the FACTS about this hotel are not ACCURATE! There is no restaurant and there is no bar. There is a juice bar that never opens on time. The pool was closed due to a problem and we were not allowed to lie out on the deck. The safe did not work. There was a coffee maker but no filters and no coffee. We had to ask for pool towels and hangers, there were only 4. The quality of the service was "inattentive." I am really annoyed that when we complained that there was no bar after the ad says there is, the desk clerk told us we should go to the gas station and buy some beer as that would be cheaper for us anyway!

NEVER AGAIN.
When we arrived the concierge did not have our reservation on file at all. We assume this was done intentionally due to what I am about to share. After 30 min the concierge got in touch with their reservations team and found us a room after they initially told us they did not have any rooms available. They booked us in their largest room. The room was beautiful and spacious bur the amenities such as WIFI and jacuzzi did not work. During our first evening we were woken up at 11pm by blaring speakers and bass from a festival happening next door. We were not warned or told any of this at check in. This festival went on from 11pm until 5 am DAILY. We thought this was a one night only event but by night two of no sleep we had had enough. On top of that there was a party of guests yelling and screaming all evening making it even harder to sleep or call hotels.com for help. The security did not provide any assistance during our stay and made us feel unsafe. The wifi continued to be an issue during the entire stay. When attempting to speak with the supervisor of our stay, they had very little remorse and would not sympathize that we were unable to sleep for 2 nights. After going back and forth for an hour they had offered to refund us for our final night because we were checking our early. I am still waiting for my refund TO THIS DAY. I would expect an ounce of humanity from the staff since they are in the hospitality industry but instead we were received with smirks and laughs.

I was honestly a little disappointed. There were several times I could not reach room service, the concierge, or the front desk. Frida was the best but I could always tell if there was another concierge because responses were hard to get. They also confirmed a ride to and from the hotel and airport and both times were a no show. Thankfully we were able to get a ride with someone else. I would also recommend having more water in the room for those staying longer than a day or two.

Little paradise off the Tulum town strip
The hotel is AMAZING! Beautiful apartments, beautiful grounds and pool area. It was very good value for the quality of the accommodation. The location is good (very near the Burrito Amor restaurant which is amazing), but would recommend a scooter (in Tulum in general) However, we were not told there was an on-site kitchen with room service, which obviously sounds amazing. We found out on our last day, so suggestion to management to show guests the QR code/app on day 1 of the stay.

We had issues with our stay. The room was smeeling like sewage and it took more than one day (almost the whole stay) for them to act on it, even though the issue was communicated rightaway during check-in. Also, we left the keys at the reception for room cleaning and when we got back to the hotel, by the end of the day, the room was not cleaned (and was smelly still). After all these issues they offered us a free upgrade and the superior room didnt had any issues. As I said, this was past more than half our stay, so the mess was made and they never offered us any type of reparation. Overall, staff was nice, parking was free and available, room was spacious and had a nice decoration. The hotel has no elevators. The bed was confy, the bedsheet had a stain on it and the blackout courtains does not work perfectly. They asked for a 50 usd deposit by check-in for no clear reason and returned it normally.
