'We stayed in the cottage over the New Year to celebrate the holidays with family. It was very warm, clean, and cozy. It had all the things needed to hang out and cook and play games with family. 'The home was perfect from every perspective! It was spacious, clean, new and equipped for everything we needed. The handling of the reservation was impeccable. It was interesting and great to be in the quiet small downtown of Smithville! The people in the coffee shop (Leah?) downstairs and in the nearby restaurant we so very friendly. And Smithville Lake is less than 10 minutes away, and downtown Kansas City about 25 easy minutes.'

'Honestly, the pictures weren't super great on this property, so i felt like it was a bit of a risk. The fact that there were no pictures of the outside really concerned me. But, this was a lovely surprise! It is a victorian style home that has been re-done very well. It still has a lot of charm, but all of the amenities of a modern home. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathrooms and the kitchen were completely updated, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. The property...
