Our record speaks for itself in terms of cleanliness as is evident with the previous 56 reviews. We take pride in our property and strive to ensure a wonderful experience for our hundred plus families that have rented from us and the many returning guests that have given us great feedback. The guests did not allow us an opportunity to address their concerns but felt comfortable enough to take several showers prior to departure and demanding a refund. We are reasonable owners and although we did not agree with the exaggerated claims made by the guests, we were willing to work together and offer them a partial refund. The pictures taken by the guests were from inside the junction box, in between the walls and appliances, underneath the entertainment center (which had to be taken on their hands and knees) and claims of soiled bedding which was in fact, a bedskirt and not any linens or bedding. All issues would have (and have been) addressed and corrected had we been given the opportunity to do so. Like any cabin adjacent to a National Forest, we have scheduled preventative visits by a professional exterminating service in order to combat bugs and rodents. Wildlife, pests and our refund policy are mentioned in both our listing and check in procedures. It is the guests responsibility to research, educate and read the provided and necessary information prior to their stay. Lastly, the guests false claims of a "scam" and an "infestation" are untrue and slanderous. We strive to provide all our guests with the best experience possible and our record depicts this very statement. Owners have zero control over VRBO corporate policy regarding guests posting a review. We follow proper protocol and cannot "prevent" guests from commenting on the property review as falsely and erroneously stated by this guest.
