Great spot
Very nice spot. A bit off the road so quiet, but you have to haul your luggage a little ways. Grocery store and a few restaurants near is great, but a longer walk or drive to most restaurants. Would definitely stay there again!

An amazing and memorable little haven.
The photos in the advert. do not do it justice. A beautiful, spacious villa. Tranquillity... Situated in a great spot totally apart from the the busy and hectic streets of central Ubud, close enough but not too close. Juli drove me to and from the airport and was my contact during my stay. Very helpful and courteous, just a really nice bloke and one of the few careful drivers in Bali. The lovely lady who serviced the villa was also excellent. Also very helpful and courteous and kept the villa spotless during my stay. I felt very well looked after by these 2 gems. A unique getaway experience. Stuart.

More than we expected

A lovely stay in a gorgeous villa.
The 2 bedroom villa was perfect for 2 'senior citizens'. There are nice eateries just a short walk away from the villa despite it being situated down a quite lane away from street noise and traffic. The manager Ketut was there to meet us and there to farewell us after out stay of 4 days - not long enough!

Luxurious and quiet Ubud retreat
The villa is tucked down a quiet laneway behind a bustling main street providing an ideal base for exploring Ubud. The laneway continues to a rice field and further along there is dense jungle. The villa is tranquil being behind a high masonry wall. The open air bathroom is sensational. The pool is the central feature with all habitable spaces opening onto a courtyard containing the pool. The villa is conveniently located being not far from a good supermarket with a range of western food and wine and is also a short walk to restaurants and spas . The palace in central Ubud is walking distance if you are feeling energetic and otherwise a short taxi ride. Housekeeping were so kind to carry our bags up the stairs upon checkin and check out. I would recommend it as the perfect Ubud retreat.

Amazing
The villa was amazing, beautiful and very private. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The Bintang supermarket was very convenient. Loved the outdoor shower. Juli was our driver,very nice person and showed us around. Thanks again Juli.

This is a fabulous property located in a quiet part of UBUD. The owner is fabulous to deal with and she responds in a matter of minutes. The property manager KeTut and his staff are first class. I would highly recommend staying here and will be staying here on my next visit.

Great villa
If your young and fit location perfect. But not if your older and have luggage. No car/bike access stairs to carry luggage/shopping. Took long time to find not well signed . Ketut there to help with luggage but 4 people 4 x 20kg luggage was a big effort. Villa lovely though.

Paradise !

Location, location, location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Ubud. The villa is perfectly located close enough to everything and just far enough away from everything to allow for a truly peaceful and relaxing experience after exploring the different areas. What a Wonderful Villa
We had a fabulous stay at the Villa, we stayed 8 nights It is exactly as pictured! Two great master bedrooms with air conditioning and amazing outdoor showers, the living area is open and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The pool is refreshing and the fountain tranquil, the outdoor seating area was great in the evenings. The Villa is quiet, you can hear the frogs from the rice field behind the Villa and the many birds that are around. The location is perfect. You can walk to the Palace and the Ubud Market, or you can hire a taxi very easily. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance from the Villa. The staff was very helpful with suggestions of activities. Juli was our driver several days on day trips and he is a great driver and had good suggestions of extra places to stop during our outings. A very nice woman comes and cleans the Villa, we had her come 3 times while we were there. Overall we had a fabulous time in Ubud and Bali. Villa Kunang Kunang was the perfect place to stay. If we get a chance to return, we will be staying there again!

Unique and peaceful retreat
The Villa is perfectly located behind the Bingtan supermarket which gives it not only a notable landmark for taxi drivers but also the convenience of a well stocked one stop shop for all you requirements. The pool is a welcome relief after a day of exploring and the overall atmosphere is one of peace and tranquility. Ketut waited patiently to collected us at the airport even though our flight was over an hour late arriving. The beds are amazingly comfortable. The whole Villa was very clean and felt very secure for two single female travellers. The Villa has a couple of night lights on timer which I personally found annoying as one was right outside my bedroom, but a quick msg to Ketut the next day and he reset them to turn off at a more reasonable hour without hesitation. There is easy access to ATMs which are located close by and a number of eateries and we highly recommend venturing along the path to the Yellow Flower Cafe..the food is simply amazing and we'll worth the slightly precarious path to get there. It is only a short taxi ride to the Ubud market and some lovely shops on the main road towards the market. Loved every minute...

Peace and tranquility
Villa Kunang-Kunang was amazing. From all the beautiful traditional details (thank you Ketut) to the lovely and blissfully cool pool, it was everything we hoped for and then some. Far enough away from the crush of Ubud central for peace and quiet, but close enough to experience it all. Ketut, Ketut and Putu took great care of us. What an amazing experience!😀

Great comfortable house, has everything you need
Juli picked us up from the airport and always made sure we were taken of. His suggestions of things to do were perfect. The house is stocked and comfortable, pool area perfect for resting between adventures. The market is a one minute walk through a cool jungle path. We would recommend this house to anyone!

What a great villa to relax and spend a week or two. Total privacy and amazing soft beds
Perfect location, quiet area, very nice host and new, fresh villa, Bali style. We loved it so much that we extended our week with another week. And, we will defiantly be back. The beds are soft like cotton, bathrooms like a jungle and two sittingareas to relax day and late. Pool is great, and the light setting beautiful. Can not wait a year to come back...

absolutely breathtaking villa!!!!
I have been to Bali 4 times now and this is by far the best accommodation iv stayed at the pool is so tranquil and relaxing! The water fountains are so beautiful and the pool at night is a dream! It’s a good 20 min walk to Ubud market but a nice walk with lots to look at along the way . The beds here are like floating on a cloud iv never had such a comfortable bed as these ones I can’t wait to go back !

Great home for vacationing!
We really enjoyed staying at this house for our vacation! It's about 5 minutes via taxi to the Ubud market and within walking distance of many restaurants. It's located behind the Bitang Supermarket, which was a huge convenience! The supermarket is where we would meet our tour guides and get some snacks, water, and food for the house so it was nice having that close by. The house itself is great! The pool and rooms were super nice. We also really loved the full kitchen and outdoor bathroom/showers! I would highly recommend this place!

A wonderful hideaway right on the main road of Ubud
If you are looking for a great place to stay central to Ubud and on the main road, this place is for you! This lovely outdoor villa is set back from the street amongst other private residences and businesses to the side of Bintang Supermarket. You walk down a long walkway where you are greeted by lush tropical foliage. The villa itself is decorated with Balinese wood trim and decor, with a modern and tranquil comfort. We loved the pool, especially with the sound of the fountain and beautiful lighting in the evening. Ketut, the manager of the property was available to us easily by phone and lived close by. There is plenty of space and the al fresco living space was delightful. The kitchen was well equipped for our cooking needs, with cookware, spices, coffee, teas, etc. They even thought to have cold glasses already in the freezer! Cleaning is done daily by a lovely woman. We will definitely be back to stay here again, as it was the perfect location. You are a 10 min walk down the hill to the temple, Palace, tons of restaurants and the main area of Ubud. The supermarket is next door for any needs including souvenirs. Atms and a cafe are there as well. Don't miss this gem!
