The Fern Gully loft is a 600 square foot suite built up on stilts with marine-like walkways that lead to the beach. On stormy nights, you can hear waves crashing from where you sleep.

The apartment is located in one of three small buildings on the property. It is an open loft that has a Queen sized bed upstairs, a kitchen downstairs, as well as a pull-out couch in the living area, Roku TV, and a bathtub. The space is best suited for 2 adults, however, you are welcome to bring your family, as the pullout couch can easily sleep kids.

The top floor is made from rough-cut fir, the countertop is yellow cedar, and there is a 10 ft red cedar plank on the wall. With the forest outside of your windows, the plants, blankets, and Western red cedar accents inside - makes the space feels like a true West Coast getaway. We think of this space as a rustic little gem in the rainforest and we’re happy to have you!

Ucluelet has many beaches and rainforest trails and is located 40km South of Tofino and the Pacific Rim Park. And yes, the Fern Gully is dog-friendly!

Amazing spot in Ucluelet!

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay while we explored the island. The apartment was very clean when we arrived, check-in was very easy, and it has a very cozy cottage vibe overall. It is steps from a beautiful beach front where we watched the sunset. Very cute cabin in an dream location

My partner and I had an amazing stay. The place is very cute and functional, perfect for two people. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen have all you need. Highly recommend it and we will definitely consider it again for our next trip in the area.

Charming cabin

Fern Gully was all that we could have asked for. A treehouse cabin feel with everything we needed to feel like it was our place for a few days. Staying in Ucluelet keeps you away from the heavy tourist traffic jams and waits. You will not have to worry about parking or paying to enjoy the beach. Huge BONUS! The beach is an easy and lovely 2 minute walk from the cabin. While the big beaches are nice if you are not surfing and simply love the peace of the trees and the ocean the Terrace beach is all you need. Beautiful shells and sea life such as vibrant starfish are everywhere when the tide goes out.We went to some of the local fish markets and cooked for ourselves. No rush to find something to eat or venture out in the rain. Check in and communication was easy.Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

We enjoyed our time at Fern Gully! The unit was very well appointed and the location was great for our needs. We liked the walk from Terrace Beach into the business area of Ucluelet for meals each evening. Very pretty space and location, clean, the wild pacific trails just put the door. Beautiful scenery and beaches. Great quality bed and mostly high end amenities but missing a few key things: no microwave, coffee filtera (though there was an espresso and french press option), fitted sheets too small for hwd and kept coking off, walls very thin, if you have noisy neighbours you'll hear everything, and out of dish soap.

Rustic. The bed and linens were lovely. The environment was nice. The number of stairs to gain entry was a surprise. It also did not have a view ( my fault for not checking carefully. It is not a cabin with balcony. ) The shower water power was not good and the bathroom sink did not drain properly.

Lovely place to enjoy nature. Keep in mind there is no insulation between the walls so you will become very close with your neighbours (and their toddler children at 6:00am). Loved that it was pet friendly!
