'Het hotel geeft een redelijke prijs prestatie verhouding. De inrichting van de kamer is vrij spartaans maar daar staat tegenover dat de kamer zeer ruim is en schoon. Als je in Groton moet zijn geeft de hotel waar voor zijn geld hoewel ik wel hotels in de VS in deze prijsklasse ben tegengekomen waar de prijs prestatie verhouding beter was'

'It’s a beautiful inn and location! Our room on the third floor had windows on three sides - views of the river and marina as well as views of Long Island sound. The staff was friendly and helpful! They had some cheese and crackers available in the afternoon, fresh cookies at 7pm (perfect little snack after returning from dinner), not to mention a nice breakfast. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away and enjoy some r&r.'

Het ligt ook op wandelafstand van bezienswaardigheden en restaurants, al ligt het wel aan een relatief drukke weg en loopt achter het domein een spoorweg (waar niet zo veel treinen langs komen trouwens). 'The House of 1833 is a beautiful old home with an amazing collection of antiques. It is surrounded by old English style gardens. In late September we were a bit too early for fall colors. The owner is delightful and helpful and the food was wonderful! '
