On the beach near Człopin, the sea has uncovered a prehistoric forest from 3000 years ago. Tree trunks, remnants of an oak and beech forest that had been destroyed by fire, were discovered in the Baltic Sea. The forest probably grew tens of kilometres from the coast and was destroyed by settlement or fire three thousand years ago.
