While the room itself was well laid out and comfortable, the service was definitely lacking. We stayed 4 nights and had room service once only. No restocking of coffee pods, cups, facial tissue or fresh towels. No making of the bed; just once for the 4 days there! The toilet ran constantly and I had to report how to fix it. The shower drain was clogged and that was reported upon checkout. The ironing board was broken and wouldn’t open so it was left out of the closet so if the housekeeper came it would be taken away to be fixed. It wasn’t moved so I reported that and the toilet running to the front desk. Fortunately the maintenance person fixed the toilet and the ironing board that day. When we checked out my wife commented that even if there was no daily bed making there should be a refreshing of the coffee service, tissues, cups etc. The clerk told her it was the guest’s responsibility to tell the front desk that they might need these things! So if you want to make a cup of coffee for more than once in 4 days the guest has to anticipate and act on that?!
I answered an email about our stay sent from Marriott and the hotel manager responded to all these issues by saying she was sorry and this wasn’t their normal level of service!
At a minimum the guest should be given written notice on check in that service was only every other day and the guest needed to get their own coffee, cups, tissues, towels, etc. Overall, a very poor hotel experience for close to $200/night.
