This retreat is an opportunity for you to enjoy one of Vail’s original and most historic houses for a fraction of the cost! This home sits right on the mountain just below Lower Bear Tree, where the accomplished skier can ski down to the deck. Skiing from the house down to the gondola starts with a brisk climb up the steps from the deck, after which you can traverse and ski down to Lower Lindsay’s, to the gondola, and to Vail Village. Skiers and boarders can also make a short walk down Forest Road to the heated driveway that leads to the gondola and the Village.

During your stay at this well-equipped home away from home, you will enjoy a Swiss chalet-style home built by one of Vail’s Founding Families where the US SKI Team, 10th Mountain Division, and the Vail Foundation have been honored. The house can sleep 10 comfortably and has four bathrooms and two powder rooms. There is also a large indoor hot tub and a fun basement room that’s sure to please guests of all ages.

When it’s time to call it a night, the bedrooms all offer king beds that can split into twin extra-long beds if required. There is the bunk room which of course always remains the bunk room! There is parking on the street below the house for four or five cars, depending on the size of the vehicles and the amount of snow.

No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
