Vlak bij 'Born Free' loopt de skipiste naar de gondel. Het huis ligt 120 meter van de skipiste en kijkt uit over de prachtige Gore Range Mountains. Dit charmante huis met vier slaapkamers heet 'Chalet du Soleil' en ligt op loopafstand van goede restaurants en winkels. Het huis staat op een groot perceel. Rodelen en spelen in de sneeuw kan worden genoten door mensen met overmatige energie na het skiën. Wij zorgen voor de sleden. Het huis is uitgerust met alle voorzieningen die u gewend bent in uw eigen huis.

Het huis biedt plaats aan maximaal tien personen. De master suite heeft een queensize bed plus bubbelbad voor twee (jacuzzi type) en een aparte doucheruimte. De andere slaapkamer op de begane grond is voorzien van een queensize bed, een bad / douche en een grote erker. De derde slaapkamer op de bovenverdieping heeft een queensize bed, twee eenpersoonsbedden, voldoende kastruimte en een grote wastafel.

De vierde slaapkamer is in feite een aangrenzend studio-appartement met een kingsize bed, een compacte keuken en een complete badkamer. Alle bedden zijn opgemaakt in de Zwitserse stijl met dekbedden, extra kussens en gestreken lakens.

Roken is niet toegestaan.

Beperking van 10 personen, meer dan dat aantal huurders zijn onderworpen aan verbeuring van de borg.
Vermeld de namen van alle inzittenden.
De eigenaar behoudt zich het recht voor om tijdens redelijke uren te kloppen en de status van de eenheid te controleren.
Elk teken van gebruik van tabak, vapen of marihuana zal resulteren in uitzetting indien ontdekt tijdens het verblijf, dit omvat ook op de decks. Als er na het verblijf door de schoonmaakploeg rook of parafernalia worden aangetroffen en gedocumenteerd, wordt de volledige borg van $ 1000 niet geretourneerd. We hebben dit beleid niet hoeven af te dwingen en hopen de gegevens bij te houden van mensen die genieten van ons ouderlijk huis zonder incidenten.

De eigenaren, Fred en Thea, wonen in het naastgelegen huis en zullen er alles aan doen om uw verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken! Hun dochter, Heather Kehoe, woont in Eagle en beheert het eigendom.

I have nothing but great things to say about Heather and the Chalet! This is the 4th summer that I've stayed at the Chalet with my wife and 4 kids, and I'm looking forward to coming back again next year. The highest praise I can give Heather and the warmth of her home is that staying here has become a core memory for our young family, and an annual tradition. There are a lot mountain homes you can rent, but you will not find one with as gracious of a host as Heather, as good of a location, or as much of warmth and love permeating the walls! After 4 reviews I have little left to say, that I haven't said in previously, but as always 5/5 stars! You won't regret staying here!

Can’t beat this location!

This is a wonderful property that we enjoyed as two families. We love coming to Vail and this place made it even more enjoyable. A short walk to the end of the cul-de-sac and you’re on the slopes. It’s an older place but cozy and comfortable with everything you need. Nothing like a hard day skiing, then coming home to a warm fire and some board games with friends! Only thing missing was a big hot tub on the deck! We will definitely hope this place is available next time we are in Vail.

Perfect property and location for our two family party!

This charming property is just steps away from the ski trail to Lionshead, providing easy access to and from skiing. You can also easily walk to Lionshead and on into the main village of Vail. The house is comfortably equipped for a party of 10 and has just what you need to make your stay enjoyable. The host was super responsive in communications and clearly wants to make your stay perfect.We very much enjoyed our trip and hope to return soon.

Awesome slope side house!

This was a great property just a short walk to the slopes in Lionshead. The house is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner throughout the week. The communication with the host was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Fabulous Snowy Christmas!

We had an amazing family Christmas/new years vacation to the chalet! The snow was coming down and the chalet was cozy, warm, and the perfect place to build memories with our family. Heather is a wonderful host and is always great at communicating.We love Vail, and the Chalet makes all the difference.

Best Rental in Vail!

My wife and I and our 4 young kids have rented the Chalet for over 70 days over the last three years. It's become somewhat of a family tradition. There is a reason we keep coming back!! I'm having a hard time finding more great things to say about our stay that I haven't previously said, but honestly if you are thinking of coming to Vail don't lose your opportunity to stay here. Can't beat the location as it's walkable to both Lionshead and Vail village. Easy access to the mountain and gondola. Beautiful yard to hang out in in the summer. Very private. Ample Parking. Very Clean. The host, Heather, is easily accessible by text, phone or email and is absolutely top notch. Looking forward to staying again soon! Don't miss out!

value for the location and number of beds

This property has a very convenient location and is undoubtedly an amazing value during ski season. The owner's daughter acts as a manager. We stayed for nearly 3 weeks and there are a few items that, for us, were disappointing. The house is a duplex than, the efficiency that "adjoins" the property is the basement that has been built out. The upstairs bedroom is the attic. You will be asked not to venture toward the river as the owner lives in the dwelling between you and the river. Consequently, there is not really a river view and you cannot hear the river due to the steep bank and the formidable structure between you and it. Also, the "water feature" does not work - the signage around the house asking you to not allow kids to play in the water feature alludes to this being an issue for some time. Unfortunately, stagnant pools of water, even in Colorado, attract mosquitos and bugs. The water feature and trees are your only real view from the back deck, so looking at stagnant water was disappointing. Finally, the linens and bedding were of medium to poor quality. The "comforters" were as seemingly old as the house. The mattresses were cheap when they were new - many, many years ago. The mattress covers have been washed so many times they are falling apart. Apparently "Chalet style bedding" means old and falling apart in Swiss. I bought a mattress pad, new mattress cover, and sheets for the basement where my wife and I slept. The proximity to all Vail has offer is amazing.

Quaint and spacious

Lovely 4 bedroom house! Very clean. The kids loved the sleds and outdoor toys. The grandparents stayed in the lower level which is a full in-law suite. The parents and kids had the main level and loft. This is an older unit, maybe 50+ years old with updates. The kitchen is small but has everything you could want, there are plenty of cooking tools and a nice large dining table. The host, Heather was very accessible and ready to accommodate questions or requests. The walk from the Chalet to the Gondola and Lionshead area of shops and bus is pretty along Gore Creek. The walk took us about 12-15 minutes. We wanted to go back to the house and back out to the village several times per day so this walk is something to consider.

Great "Mountain Feel" Home close to the slopes!

Heather's house is a 5-star property. Surrounded by the encroaching "new money" Vail houses, this place gives the feel of an older, cozier Vail (which I prefer). Plenty of room for 3 kids and 4 adults. Ski storage, warm towering fireplace, and a well-stocked kitchen. The house is about a 5 minute walk to the slopes, and you can even "cheat" after the lifts close and walk the ski trail directly into Lionshead for restaurants and shopping. Would recommend for anyone looking for a home away from home in Vail.

Fantastic Ski Location

The property was perfect for our family and friends to enjoy a Christmas ski vacation. Just steps to the gondola in Lionshead with a cozy atmosphere and wonderful wood burning fireplace to return to after a long day of skiing. Kitchen was well equipped and Heather, the hostess, was fantastic to communicate with. We will totally be renting again in the future.

Wonderful location

Chateau du Soleil is a great rental. Fabulous location just down from the slopes. We had a large group and it was the perfect mix of multiple bedrooms for privacy, but a large living area where we could all hang out. And Heather is great to help with anything you need. Highly recommend!

Best location in Vail (winter or summer)

Second time staying at the property (cumulative 6 week total stay). Heather, the owner, is absolutely wonderful. She has consistently gone out of her way to make our stay pleasant and has made it exceedingly easy to add in services such as additional cleanings. She even went out of her way to mail back something I left at the house. The house is charming and well kept with plenty of space and a basement apartment for the inlaws, nanny etc. Deck and outdoor space are wonderful, especially in summer! Location is perfect with easy walking access to the mountain as well as lionshead and vail village. The street is quiet and safe enough for my 5 and 6 yo kids to ride bikes. If you are considering staying here, book it! You won't regret it. Looking forward to coming back next summer (and hopefully many summers after that). Anton
