Are you looking for a nicely updated townhome with ample parking, a private hot tub, views of the mountains and Gore Creek? Look no further. Creekside at West Vail by Mountain Vacation Lodging was nicely renovated during the summer and fall of 2023. It has a great bedding setup that makes it is perfect for groups of couples, groups with couples and singles, or families. It has enough space to spread out as well as an open concept main level where everyone can get together. Lots of little touches show the thoughtfulness of homeowners who want guests to enjoy the home as much as their own family does. Located on the west end of Vail, pricing here is much more attractive than Vail Village or Lionshead. Plus, you'll also love the convenience - the free city bus stop is a short walk, and a biking and jogging trail is right out your door. It's the perfect place to stay without draining your wallet, unlike some other pricey options in the area.
Main Level (Entry Level): – Fully Equipped Kitchen, brand new in fall 2023 – Dining Room with seating for 10 people – Living Room with Leather sofa, HDTV, Ceiling Fan – Wood Pellet Stove – Back Deck with Private Hot Tub, High Top Bar, Gore Creek Views, & Gas Grill – Entry with Ski Racks
Upper Level (One flight of stairs up from Main Level): – Workspace with Desk & Chair – Bedroom 1: King size bed, creek views, ceiling fan, vanity with sink, direct access to the bathroom, chest & armoire, smart tv – Bedroom 2, Custom built bunk bed with Twin over Queen, creek views, ceiling fan, double closet, smart tv – Bathroom 1: This is a full split bathroom that has one separate room for the double sink vanity and another room with the bathtub/shower & toilet. Access to the vanity room is from the hallway and the other half is accessible from the vanity room as well as Bedroom 1.
Lower Level (One flight of stairs down from Main Level): – Bedroom 3: King size bed, electric fireplace, chest, large closet, smart tv – Bedroom 4: Custom built bunk bed with Twin over Queen, creek views, ceiling fan, double closet, smart tv – Bathroom 2: Split bathroom with large vanity, bathtub /shower, updated tile, toilet – Washer & Dryer
Location: -- Ski Lifts: 2.3 miles to Cascade Village, 3.4 miles to Lionshead, 4.2 miles to Vail Village – Transportation: The free Vail bus system picks up only 0.1 miles from the home at the Intermountain bus stop. That's 160 meters from your door, and the walk is flat - no hills. The bus can take you throughout the Vail area and you could even take it to Beaver Creek. -- Views: The views from the main and upper level include mature trees and forest, mountains, and Gore Creek.
Arrival, Access, and Parking: – Accessing the property: From the parking area to the interior of the home there is only 1 step - from the walkway up to the front porch. Entry is on the main level and there is one flight up or down to the bedrooms. – Parking: There is reserved parking for up to 4 cars. The parking spaces are big enough for two cars side by side and two cars directly behind them. So if you have 4 vehicles you would be able to park them in these reserved spaces, with 2 vehicles next to each other and then 2 more vehicles next to each other, right behind the first two vehicles. Our photos show how this works. Please note, trailers/RV's are not allowed. Free to reach out to us for additional information or updates on parking. – 4WD vehicle information: The roads leading to and from this property are flat and easy. That said, when traveling during snow and winter weather conditions, 4WD/AWD or vehicles with chains may be required to access the Vail area in general, and therefore, this property.

Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos. ** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required. ** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Great mountain getaway
We had a great time staying here on our Vail ski trip! It's super close to everything which was so convenient. You're about 5 min to downtown vail village and there's some additional eateries and grocery stores right around the property. The hot tub was an amazing feature as well, not to mention the beds were very comfy! Will gladly stay again!

Perfect Mountain Getaway
This home was perfect for our family getaway to Vail. The layout is spacious with four true bedrooms, and having five TVs meant everyone could relax with their own space. We started each day with coffee on the deck overlooking the creek and ended it with a soak in the private hot tub. The place was spotless and felt well cared for. We loved the convenience of the free shuttle just steps away. It made getting to Vail Village super easy. Would absolutely stay here again.

Our family of 4 had an excellent 3 week summer vacation creek side. The location on Gore Creek was walking distance for fly fishing, and the fishing was excellent! Bike /walking path is out the front door. The kitchen is well stocked and supplied for cooking and grilling. The home is on the bus/shuttle route to Vail Village and Lions Head, grocery stores etc which was convenient. Big thumbs up!

The property was clean and just as the listing described. We loved the sounds of the “creek” which was more of a raging river during our stay. Very happy with our experience, especially the cleanliness.

Nice place with some issues
The location was great for us and the place was clean and had decent amenities. We had issues with the power and the hot tub during the stay which felt like they could have been avoided. Also the camera above the hot tub is a little creepy.

Great location. Close to the mountain! Easy to drive and park in Vail Village. Hot Tub, beautiful brook outside, nice & clean bedrooms. Warm pellet stove. We had a great time with our family. Definitely recommended! Close daily activities like hiking, skiing and snowmobiling.

Updated condo on the Gore River. You can catch trout in the back yard. Large kitchen and seating area with a beautiful table. Lots of beds with fantastic pillows, blankets and mattresses. I could sleep all day if there weren’t so many fun activities in Vail. Thanks!

The unit, although basic, has nearly everything a large group needs. The area is quiet and the city bus is close, although the walk to the bus was very icy and not maintained. The dishwasher is very loud while running so if you're wanting to watch TV at the same time, the TV will need a soundbar. The management company gets a 1-star review. They are the issue. The management company puts the burden onto the out-of-town homeowner for even the simplest of requests. We needed a shower mat because we had an elderly guest with us and were worried about him slipping. Management said we had to wait until Dec 27 (day before we checked out and 7 days later) when the homeowner would be in town. Speaking of this, the management company gave us a 30 min notice, via text, that the homeowner would be stopping by to drop off supplies. When I objected, they pushed the issue stating that this time was the only convenient time for the homeowner, never mind our convenience. Other items the home could use are dressers in the bunk bed closets or storage for clothes. The broken sweater organizers don't work so we had to use the floor. Overall, we liked the unit and how the owner made good use of the space for large groups.
