The Glacier is a good value. The hotel lobby, hallway, and room were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Our check-in was quick. Only a few things would have made our stay better, more lighting in the room and a microwave and/or a coffee/tea service in the room.

The most beautiful city and place in Alaska!
The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and provided us with some helpful information on the best place to see Bald Eagles, harbor seals, sea lions and otters in the bay of Prince William sound.

Glacier Hotel is nothing fancy. Not a ton of curb appeal, and definitely a bit worn around the edges. But it is great value for Alaska. And my room was pretty big and fairly comfortable. Others have commented on the nice breakfast and good water pressure. Those are definite pluses. So was the fast Wifi. Staff was helpful.

This property was much nice inside than it looked. While the room was no frills, it was clean and comfortable. The fact that the Prospector Store was right next door, thrilled my husband! The breakfast was very good. Would stay again.

Breakfast was good, needs sinage for what is available to have made to order. Was told, "No waffle batter." But a staff member was served a waffle. The cook was very cordial. Not good room temperature control, too hot and unsafe to open a window on the first floor.

Front desk staff were not very helpful. When I went to check out they didn’t even stop playing with their phone and just shoved a basket at me to drop my keys in. The breakfast staff was super nice. Vending was very limited. The rooms were clean and basic.

This was the perfect little hotel in such a perfect little town. Breakfast was good and they have free coffee available all day in the lobby. The showers got really hot with great water pressure. Fantastic!

We only stayed one night but it was very comfortable. The staff was great, we had forgotten insulin in the refrigerator and they called us to let us know and held it for us until we returned from our Glacier Cruise to pick it up.

Our room looked like our was stuck in the 70s with a bright yellow countertop and weird fluorescent lighting in the bathroom, but that is just cosmetics. The only thing that actually bothered me was that there was only one light (a lamp actually) in the main sleeping area. It was too dark to read. But the staff was friendly and the guy making breakfast was super nice. Overall it was a clean hotel in a good location in Valdez.

Aug 2023. This hotel is located on a very busy street with tank trucks going by all night. With no A/C, had to keep the window open. It was adequate but I would not choose to stay here again.

Dear customer sorry for the inconvenience but this town it's an oil town so that's means those trucks are all day and all night long in and out of the town delivery the gas for the rest of the world its part of our story. You are the first person that mention this so sorry about that.

Decent enough spot.
The check in and out was fast, the front desk was very helpful when we asked about why our room was so hot, and the free breakfast was decent enough. The bathroom could use a good cleaning and possible replacement of the shower, but overall I'd stay here again.
