Very centrally located modern hotel
The hotel is very centrally located. It is recently modernized so in good shape. The staff is very supportive. Claudia gave us great recommendations. For the price I had expected some more space as well as continuously warm water.

Mooi pand op uitmuntend goede locatie. Kamer zou 'comfort' zijn, maar viel tegen ten opzichte van foto's vooraf. Badkamertje was gedateerd. Ontbijt is matig, wel verse spullen maar plak aan de tafel. In de gang hing een nare riool-achtige lucht. Jammer, had gehoopt op een frisser hotel.

Super hotel op geweldige locatie.
We hebben een geweldige tijd in Valencia gehad. Het hotel is op een top locatie gelegen, in een schitterend pand en van alle gemakken voorzien. Aardige staff, zeer schoon, goed bed en heerlijke douche. De volgende keer slapen we hier zeker weer!

Het is een mooi en trendy hotel. Bed was heerlijk en groot. Enige minpuntje: we sliepen in kamer 101, direct boven Cafe Madrid waar in het weekend de muziek best hard aan stond. Beetje las gehad daarvan, maar verder een top hotel en super locatie!

From check in with Daniele to the arrival of our taxi to leave for the airport, the staff was wonderful. Hotel was in a fabulous location to walk all of the old city. Nothing was more than 20 minute walk with most being only 5 - 10 minutes. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Perfect location! Walkable to historic sites as well as shopping area. All staff were outstanding, from reception to Cafe Madrid, to breakfast restaurant to housekeeping. Everyone was extremely helpful, professional and appeared to be truly happy doing their jobs. Room was lovely and well-appointed. Spotlessly clean. Rooftop deck was a nice respite after a long afternoon of walking with very comfortable seating options and a lovely view.

Our stay at the MYR Marquis was wonderful. It's a small hotel and the staff make you feel well cared for. It was my husband's birthday and they surprised him at breakfast and later with a gift in our room. It was completely unexpected and a wonderful touch. The service at breakfast was outstanding, it's clear that the team working at the hotel really likes their work. I would highly recommend.

Wow! What a beautiful hotel. It was exactly as it was photographed. We were visiting our son who is studying abroad at Valencia University and Marquis House was only about 15 mins from his dorm. We loved everything about this hotel. The service was great, the staff was lovely. We had breakfast every morning at their rooftop cafe ( which also serves lunch ) and were met with an attentive and friendly staff. A special recognition to Angela who greeted us each morning with a warm smile and a beautiful spirit. The location was perfect right in the heart of the city, with shops and dining. All in walking distance. Their tapas restaurant Cafe Madrid on the ground level was always busy with excitement and good times. Although they don't take reservations, they were able to accommodate our group of 11, and what a great night of fun memories were made. We will definitely return to the enchanting city of Valencia which has stolen our hearts and will absolutely stay at the Marquis House, no need to search for another lodging!

This hotel literally stinks. It has a severe odor problem from the sewage system. I had to change rooms after practically vomiting thanks to the foul odor. The staff was unhelpful and unsympathetic- telling me that such odors are “common” in Valencia. At $300 per night I expected a kinder and more professional response. Highly discourage potential guests from risking a pleasant stay in Valencia with the unpleasantness of inhaling sewar gasses during their overnight stay.

However, my colleagues immediately solved it for you and the other members of your family.As many people know, Valencia has the same problem as Venice. They are cities that are at the water table of the sea and it is possible that at particularly windy times, high pressure or bad weather, odours can resurface throughout the city. This only happens occasionally and is beyond our control. We stayed for three nights in the junior suite and had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff was welcoming and accommodating and offered great communication before and during our visit. Super-comfortable property and VERY helpful staff. Great area, easily walkable, lots to do, loved our stay! One caveat, lobby bar stays open until 1am. Street-side rooms pick up a lot of late-night noise. Ask for an interior room.

Where to start. When I checked in the man told me breakfast was included. When I checked out I was charged £19 per day for the breakfast. She showed me a printout that showed it was not included and apparently when I initialed that I received breakfast it was considered a signature that I would pay for it. If I left without paying, I am sure they would call the police. She kept saying rude things about me being confused and a language barrier because I am American. They spoke English so there was no language issues. She was obviously very irritated by “Americans” which she said 3 times. The room was extremely noisy both from outside and in the hallways. The curtains did not close properly and lights on the exterior of the building made the room quite bright all night. The refrigerator didn’t work and I was told it would be replenished daily, however, after the first day, I received only 2 small bottles of water. The sparkling water was never replenished. I paid for a superior room so it included a spa day. The spa was filthy. The water was cold, green with algae and smelled terrible. What a waste of time. Staff was rude except for housekeeping. I enjoyed Valencia but I recommend avoiding MYR hotels.

Dear Paula,It is a pity that your stay (which was wonderful as you told us the day before your departure) was overshadowed by your reaction at check out.As you know and as I know we were able to verify at check out, you booked on an ACCOMODATION ONLY basis. However, given the popularity of our breakfast service, you decided to go up every day. Each day that you went up, at the end of breakfast, the staff gave you your ticket with the total cost of the breakfast you enjoyed, which you had to sign (in fact we have them all signed by you, where it clearly indicates the amount). As for the temperature, the colleagues at the Hotel Plaza Mercado checked the temperature and it was 33.5ºC, which means it was more than warm.Nevertheless, I hope your time in Valencia wasn't as bad as you mention.Best regards.

I really liked the warm welcome from the staff My daughter was more than happy for receiving complimentaries during our stay in the hotel. What we didn't like was the drilling noise in the morning but on the whole, the hotel was an amazing place for us.

Wonderful stay.
Great hotel located in the Herat of the old city. Staff were super friendly and happy to give suggestions. I stayed in the interior room and it was surprisingly large - shower was particular good and had great water pressure. The room was very clean too. Highly recommend.

My five day stay was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for seeing many sights. Valencia is a very safe and walkable city. Enjoyed the breakfast in the hotel and other amenities as well. The attached bar was lively!
