My chalet in Vallorcine is quietly situated in the Le Nant neighborhood.
Whether it’s summer or winter, the chalet’s unique location offers an ideal starting point for hikes, mountain bike tours, and ski tours. Just step outside the door, and your adventure can begin. From here, you can also easily explore the numerous ski areas in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley. The Vallorcine gondola is 1.5 km away and can be reached in just a few minutes by bus, which stops 50 m from the chalet. The other ski areas—Grands Montets, Brévent Flégère, Aiguille du Midi, and Les Houches—are accessible by SCNF train; the Le Buet stop is 850 m from the chalet (travel times are listed below). In the small Poya ski area, located 1 km from the chalet, you’ll find, among other things, the Club Piou Piou—run by the ESF ski school—where children can learn to ski.
To use the SNCF train for free, you’ll need the Carte d’Hôte guest card—please ask us about it if you’d like to take the SNCF train.
The chalet is 34 square meters in size and can accommodate a total of 2–3 people (2 people in the double bed and 1 person on the sofa bed—you must bring your own bedding).
You can conveniently park your car in the free parking lot right next to the chalet.
In my small but cozy chalet, you’ll find everything you need for a relaxing vacation.
In the cozy living room with a couch and dining area, you can enjoy the treats you’ve prepared in the kitchenette. Everything you need for cooking (pots, pans, dishes) is provided; you’ll just need to bring your own dish towels.
The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator, a small oven with a microwave function, and a stovetop. A coffee maker, electric kettle, and raclette grill are available for use at any time. Feel free to use the coffee and tea.
The bathroom has a spacious, wheelchair-accessible shower, and the toilet is separate. Please bring your own towels.
Right in the entryway, you’ll find a large closet where you can store your luggage.
From the living room, you can step out onto the covered balcony. From there, you have a direct view of the back side of the Aiguilette des Posettes, Vallorcine’s local mountain, in the Balme ski area.
The balcony is furnished with a table and chairs so you can relax outside with a glass of wine.
If you look toward Chamonix, on a clear day you can see the Aiguille du Dru in the Aiguille Verte massif within the Argentière ski area.
Please note:
Don’t forget to bring your own bed linens, dish towels, and bath towels. Upon departure, please leave everything clean for the next guests (please make the bed neatly, take out the trash, and clean the chalet using the cleaning supplies provided), turn off the radiators in the entryway, living area, and bathroom, as well as the circuit breakers in the cabinet in the entryway, and place the key in the key box after you’ve locked the front door. Wi-Fi and TV are not available.
