A few blocks from the water taxi stop to Granville Island: super convenient. The room's floors were sticky and the toilet tank leaked: room 411.

Awful experience. They charge $28 per night for parking and the parking garage had rats running around everywhere. There was rat feces pretty much wall to wall, you literally could not walk in that garage without stepping in the rat poop. There was piles of trash that had not been taken out in probably weeks (probably causing the terrible rat issue). Our room smelled like smoke, the bed had stains on it, and there was no comforter on the bed. The bathtub also had mildew/mold growing in between the tiles. We immediately turned our room keys in and found a different hotel at 11:00 PM. They have a strict no refund policy even though their building is uninhabitable and the pictures did not match what was on their website.

Ours was not a pleasant stay at this hotel. Our room and bathroom was very dirty, there was extremely loud construction happening downstairs which we were not warned about by the hotel upon booking (we would have booked elsewhere), the corridor carpets were filthy, the décor feels like it has not been updated since the 70s, and the cleaners were chatting and laughing very loudly in the hallways early in the morning which woke us up. When we complained, we were given brunch vouchers and were told that brunch was served at the adjoined White Spot until 2pm. When we turned up to White Spot to have our brunch we were told that they could only be used until 11am, which was conflicting information than we had been given. The only saving grace was that the staff who did our check-in were very friendly and helpful. However, the staff upon our check-out were quite different. Unfortunately we won't be recommending this hotel.

The hotel is in a rundown area of Vancouver and walking on Granville was a little sketchy. It appears to be a student hotel and the kitchen on the top floor was a nice touch. The room was spotless but the bathroom was musty and damp smelling. No view on the back of the building on the lower floors.

The room itself was fine.. not quite worth the cost though. Checkin was challenging- First of all, the hotel is right on the road with no driveway. No place to park while checking in, except right in front. But for us there were no vacant spots, so we had to wait in an alley for a car to move on- even then, space was small - would have been more challenging with a bigger vehicle. Only option is to pay for valet parking. lobby was being re-tiled so had construction- it was noisy and messy. You can’t take the stairs up (only down) so had to wait 3 trips for the elevator. Won’t stay here again.

Property is under construction inside and all around outside of building. Phone did work in the room, they would have to move the bed to fix it and asked if I was okay without it? You don't require a door key to use the elevator, like it suggests. Otherwise, not a bad location.

My husband and I had the worst sleep due to the uncomfortable pillows and bed, the beds are very firm. We woke up feeling sore and exhausted. The room smelled like a dirty mop. I do not recommend this hotel.
