The hotel is in a rundown area of Vancouver and walking on Granville was a little sketchy. It appears to be a student hotel and the kitchen on the top floor was a nice touch. The room was spotless but the bathroom was musty and damp smelling. No view on the back of the building on the lower floors.

The room itself was fine.. not quite worth the cost though. Checkin was challenging- First of all, the hotel is right on the road with no driveway. No place to park while checking in, except right in front. But for us there were no vacant spots, so we had to wait in an alley for a car to move on- even then, space was small - would have been more challenging with a bigger vehicle. Only option is to pay for valet parking. lobby was being re-tiled so had construction- it was noisy and messy. You can’t take the stairs up (only down) so had to wait 3 trips for the elevator. Won’t stay here again.

Property is under construction inside and all around outside of building. Phone did work in the room, they would have to move the bed to fix it and asked if I was okay without it? You don't require a door key to use the elevator, like it suggests. Otherwise, not a bad location.

My husband and I had the worst sleep due to the uncomfortable pillows and bed, the beds are very firm. We woke up feeling sore and exhausted. The room smelled like a dirty mop. I do not recommend this hotel.

Due to construction, vallet parking was extremely inconvenient. The comfort of the temperature in our room was inconsistent and was out of our control during our stay. Would be nice to have had a patio or a window to be able to open to have the option of some fresh air. Staff were friendly and the rooftop patio was admirable for morning coffees.

Great hotel location if you want to walk to Granville Island or Robson St. There was construction going on, during our stay, which was a inconvenience. I thought there was self parking but not so ... valet took about 15-20 mins to get our car. Hotel room was not as cleaned as my wife would have liked but I was fine with cleanliness (for the price). I would come back and stay again.

We have stayed at this location a couple of times with high requards. However this time was dismayed that we were given instructions for parkade access during construction prior to arrival. Upon arrival we found out it was closed and offed a paid velet parking. Upon parking found out that it was offered for free to anyone that booked their stay directly. I felt weather we booked though Expedia or directly it should not have had an additional charge as their free parkade was unavailable.

Parking fees should be disclosed pre booking. Paying an additional 30 to $35 a day would factor in many peoples decisions. You don't have any option when you arrive at the property at night and they spring the parking fees on you.

Construction ongoing right outside my window. Sound came right through the AC unit. They said the hot tub was available until 11 PM but it was drained and closed off the entire time j was there.
