Geweldig hotel , midden in het centrum vlak bij het SAN Marcoplein , de eigenaar en het andere personeel zijn zeer gastvrij ! Een aanrader

De locatie is fantastisch! Mijn kamer was ook super met een bad waar ik om gevraagd had. "Nadeeltje" is in dat zelfde bad douchen en dat de hele bubs dan nat wordt, maar na een hele dag rond te hebben gelopen in Venetiƫ was het bad meer dan welkom!

Goed hotel op prima locatie
Betaalbaar goed hotel op een prima locatie vlak achter Marco Poloplein. Zeer behulpzaam vriendelijk personeel. Schone kamer. Met een uitstekend restaurant voor de deur.. Enige minpuntje: de nachtportier stond de hele nacht vĆ³Ć³r het hotel en maakte soms een nogal luidruchtig praatje met voorbijgangers.

Looks a bit old, but is well kept and very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. A bit far from the train and bus stations, but very close to attractions and to water bus service. Would stay there again.

Nice area with plenty of shops and restaurants. It is a small hotel run by two cousins who were very pleasant and accommodating. the continental Breakfast was optional fee and was very good for the price

The staff was courteous and friendly. They agreed to move us out of our original room due to an odor in the bathroom overnight. They claimed nothing was wrong but when we checked it out again the odor was there. No coffeemaker in room. No coffee until 7:30 and only if you have free breakfast as part of your stay. Now that I have a better idea about Venice I would look at other options.

Great place to stay
The hotel was was clean and in a very convenient location. The Fontana is a 5 minute walk from the San Marco vaporetto (water taxi) stop, so transportation to anywhere in Venice is quite easy. The staff is very friendly and quite helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

Great time in Venice
The Fontana Hotel is a little but very nice place to stay in Venice. Its location is central and enables you to walk around the city easily as well as to arrive/depart without having to carry your luggage up and down the bridges as the Fontana is a few minutes away from the main vaporetti station. The staff is molto gentile, always willing to assist with a smile. And the inside terrace is great to enjoy your breakfast or a drink away from the crowd. Grazie!

Perfect little hotel 5 mins from St Markā€™s Square
A true gem in the heart of Venice, 5 mins from St Mark's Square. What an absolutely perfect hotel! Loved everything about it, from the location: five minutes on foot from St Mark's Square (and far enough from the throngs of tourists), right next to a fantastic Bacaro and the beautiful San Zaccaria church, to the interior - my spotless single room with its super comfortable bed and good sized bathroom, the lift and air con in the room, plus the wonderful friendly and professional staff, ready to give tips and advice even when checking in at 0100! Great continental breakfast, kept me going long into the day. I hope to return and soon. Super easy to get to from the airport: get the Alilaguna Line B to San Zaccaria. Or if you prefer a private transfer the hotel can sort this out for you.

Great people and place!
This is a small place in a great location run by three of the friendliest, best hoteliers Iā€™ve ever seen. The ā€œclerksā€ behind the desk are concierges of the highest order. Two of them, cousins Gabrielle and Diego, run the place. The night ā€œclerkā€/concierge was especially helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend them enough. The breakfast was good too.

Hotel was easy to locate. The host was wonderful, made us feel at home, and gave us good advice. Breakfast was available, you paid for it, wasnā€™t to expensive and was convenient. The room was quiet and adequate. I would have liked to have water available in the room.

We got a friendly welcome both when we arrived and each time we came back. The room was big and clean. It was very convenient for public transport and in walking distance of many attractions of the city, yet it was in a slightly quieter area of the city. It was a shame that the terrace was closed for the autumn and winter as it looked attractive. The room overlooked a small square with restaurants. We enjoyed the street noise in the morning and evening but if you are not used to city life you might find it a bit annoying.

Very happy with our stay. The proprietors man the front desk and are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The rooms had soft beds ~ something of a novelty in Italy, air conditioning, and an elevator ~ this time a novelty for Venice. Great location near the water shuttles and Doges Palace. Iā€™d definitely stay there again.

The staff of the Hotel Fontana went out of their way to help us. Everyone was friendly and cheerful and helpful. The Hotel is close to St Markā€™s square with many restaurants close by. The rooms were clean and well equipped.
