Great location near the Fishermans Wharf. The property is quite old and so is the bed and furniture. Since it a residential house wurh quire some guests we found it a bit noisy. But the host was wonderfull and at this price it was fine to stay a night. We had to leave early for the airport so we couldn’t enjoy breakfast which is served between 8:30 and 9:30, but the house smelled like fresh baked bread!

The B&B was so beautiful with so many beautiful details throughout the place. Breakfast was delicious and more than we were expecting from a B&B. The cheese sauce on the eggs benedict was a favorite! We were within walking distance to the inner harbor and Beacon Beach. So, we had fun walking to many of the places we went to. Great advice on where to go for dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed! Great trip!

Loved the place. Quaint quiet location but only a few blocks from the harbour and Fisherman’s Wharf. Only downside was the rooms are what you would expect from a 100 yr old home…not a lot of space to move around. But if you like old English historic homes, you’ll love it. Breakfast was great albeit with 4 choices. Not a big eggs Benedict guy and that got me to three. But they did a bagged breakfast for us on the last day. Really tried to do everything for you. Thanks to you and your staff Marketa!

Great breakfasts, easy access to most places especially if you are a walker. When weather permits a great back yard patio and some parking.

Met at the door by our host who was very accommodating and welcoming. We got a tour of the space. Parking is a very small space behind the building on the property. Street parking is very limited due to the new bike lane in front of the BnB.

It was a last minute trip so we weren't expecting anything spectacular when we booked in but Marketa's has more than surpassed our expectations! Beautifully maintained character house. Staff is so friendly and helpful and the breakfast blew us away! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic staff that was accommodating with storing our E-bikes. The breakfast was phenomenal! The bed thought has seen its last days. Very soft and uncomfortable. If that changes we will definitely be back!

Marketa's is everything could hope for in a B&B. Comfortable bed, superb cooked-to-order breakfast, quiet surroundings & a knowledgeable, friendly staff. It's also just a short walk to the Victoria waterfront and all of the attractions there.

Amazing gem in Jame’s Bay that is a safe walk to fisherman’s wharf and Parliament. The service at check in and breakfast is fantastic. The only discomfort we experienced is that the curtains are not blackout and let a lot of light in on the second floor. Otherwise we were so lucky to have stayed at such a charming property!

A beautiful character property in walking distance around Victoria. Staff and service was excellent, friendly and accommodating. The building is old, and our windows vibrated when next door has their extractor fan or AC on!

Outstanding location near the beautiful, fun and interesting Victoria inner harbour but also easy walking to Fisherman’s Wharf, Beacon Hill Park, shopping, restaurants and more. The only issue, which is NOT Marketa’s fault, is the removal of street parking in front of the B and B to make a bike lane. There are some parking spots behind the property however and other parking options nearby.

As for your suggestion about breakfast earlier, we used to do so and we were getting too many complaints about the noise in the morning, lots of people like to sleep in...Honestly we are working hard to please everyone, but it is challenging.We do hope that you will visit again, we like kind, nice guests.

Sympathique hotel à proximité du centre ville de Victoria (accessible à pied). Hotel de charme, nous n’avons hélas pas pu profiter du petit déjeuner qui avait l’air excellent et très bien présenté. Nous avions un impératif horaire et nos hôtes nous ont servis, hors horaire, un café et thé et nous sommes partis avec un dodybag bien rempli.

The home and furnishings are in great condition for a home over a century old. The claw foot tub is appropriate for the house, but too precarious for my 88 year old husband to climb into for a shower, as he has to wear knee braces on his weak knees. I wonder if a grab bar would make it safer for others as well. Marketa and staff provide excellent hospitality.

The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Darlene was exceptional. There are a lot of stairs which may be a problem for some folks but they are manageable and the staff will help with luggage if needed. The breakfast was outstanding and we would be very happy to stay here again!!
