Hotel was proper, friendly reception and piccolo service.
We stayed 8 days (long stay) but only received 2x bottles of water upon arrival (we were with 3 in the room). No refill during our stay. There is a minibar, but it's empty (for us not a problem). Basically just fridge use.
We stayed during many occasions at different hotels (I even have a long work history at Inter Continental and Ritz Carlon Hotels), and were always offered service with a little more care especially when being a long stay guest (in this case Vienna is more a 2-4 day trip stay). It wasn't an expectation, it's more a remark to the Hotel Manager to pay more detail to these type of things. Replenishing water everyday and a little note with a chocolate bar, can make a world of difference for little money. (just a thought).
Cleaning service was basic. Good but nothing special. The past 2 years we spend our vacation in Asia (Thailand and Indonesia). The housekeepers were very visible, left all kinds of attentions in the room for which we tipped them. A win-win situation. Hotel Manager: Empower your staff for more visibility.
Bar/ kitchen staff had no clue. We ordered 2 diner dishes. 1 came 45minutes before the other dish arrived. Also very limited menu. And because of the price, we ordered 2x on different evenings the Cheese burger. Quality of the burger was good though.
Breakfast was good. Not the top.
Attention swimming pool lovers: At 14Hours it is in total shade. And very windy because the Donau.
