'We enjoyed Backwater Resort very much. We stayed 1 evening before an overnight houseboat trip. We enjoyed the resort so much we returned for another day just relaxing. The staff are all super accommodating and everyone greets you in passing. 5 star service. The rooms are done very well with real wood furnishing. It is isolated from the city but so quiet and relaxing. Finally, great lake views.'

'Very relaxing and beautiful scenery. The rooms are very modern and clean. There was a total of 7 rooms on board, so it was good to mix and chat to the other guests. The crew on the houseboat were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Always willing and happy to help. Food was excellent, but keep in mind there is no alcohol, as seems to be case everywhere in Kerala. We will happily come back again.'

'Remember, this is not about a 5 star stay. This is a family home near the beach. Jimmy, his wife and his son Emile, offer a delightful, 'all we can do to help' environment. 'We are from London on a family trip and had visited Kochi and Munnar so we were at the end of our trip to Kerala where we wanted to relax and enjoy the weather for a few days. We were glad we chose this resort as we really did relax, and have a lovely break so for us, it is probably the best resort in Alleppey!
