The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was within walking distance of many dining options and breakfast was on site and tasty. The staff were also very nice.

'We hadden een goedkopere kamer geboekt. Dan zijn m'n verwachtingen heus niet hoog. Maar tapijt in de badkamer sloeg wel alles. Dat is extreem onhygiënisch. Ook was de staat achterstallig, dat het behang van alle kanten los hing en het matras al 20 jaar geleden vervangen had moeten worden. Je lag direct op de veringen die inmiddels ook hun eigen vorm hadden gekregen.'

'A lovely, Victorian, grand hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. Great staff, food, room and view. A very quiet nights sleep, even though the hotel was busy. We'd definitely return. Thank you to all the staff.'

Room very comfortable with everything you would need for a short stay. Only comment was that there was no long mirror in the room. The one in the assessable room was in the toilet/shower room & therefore became less assessable when the toilet was in use plus became very steamed up & unable to be used.
Such a small thing so not a problem & we would definitely use this hotel again.
Dinner was very nice as was breakfast with plenty of choice.

'Stayed with grandchildren in a great room. Staff extremely knowledgeable and accomodating. I did not like the breakfast dining experience. No back ground music the food was not great and you coukd hear a pin drop. No one talking at tables it felt awkward. Otherwise a great stay. I will stay again it was very pricey but location is why '

I understand the lodges are in the country side but those webs had been there a long time they were caked in dust. "Great location if arriving by train and very central in the city. My room was a little on the small side even by normal european standards, but I suspect I was just unlucky. First floor and overlooking the station concourse. Pretty good soundproofing, but I did hear the rail announcements quite early (7am) and there seemed to be quite a few. Light sleepers beware. Otherwise front desk staff were super. Quick and friendly check-in. "
