Klein paradijsje op aarde
Het is zoals je je een tropisch / romantisch verblijf voorstelt: villa aan het strand, onder de bomen, 40 passen verwijderd van jouw strandstoelen (nummer van de villa staat achterop) die elke ochtend weer keurig in het gelid zijn gezet. Het was onze huwelijksreis en het was perfect: geweldig personeel / staf, superschoon overal (iedereen blootsvoets), ongelofelijk eten, geweldige natuur, een zee waar je zo inloopt (28gr). Wij hadden een jacuzzi beachvilla (no.202) en dat is toch wel de beste plek op het eiland; alle boten / vliegtuigen komen aan de andere kant aan. Overigens zijn daar alleen beachvilla's en villa's in het bos. De laatste 3 dagen hebben we geupgraded naar een watervilla en dat is het summum van luxe. TIP: ga voor het All inclusive arrangement! Wij hadden volpension maar aangezien bv. een glaasje wijn $ 6,- kost en een dubbele espresso $7,-, haal je dat er makkelijk uit. Het weer werd gaandeweg wel slechter (geen stortbui van 5 min. meer maar gewoon de hele middag en/of avond), de Oceantrip met een groot schip die de hele dag zou duren werd ook afgebroken na 2 uur varen vanwege de harder wordende wind. Wel tof dat we niets hoefden te betalen. De buffetten waren steeds weer een lust voor het oog en de maag, volgens mij Michelinster niveau! Bij aankomst op Malé tijdens de thuisreis werden we verrast door de begeleiding die we kregen: mensen die bij het resort horen wisten precies over onze vertrektijd, onze koffers in kluisjes zetten en wij met gids naar de stad

Jacuzzi overwatervilla
If you can afford it, book an overwater jacuzzi villa. It is worth every penny! Ask for villa 329 wich has the niced view and privacy. Sharks, ray's and many more is passing your private balcony! Room is very nice and the staff if very friendly. A perfect place for a perfect holiday!

Mooi resort,behulpzaam peroneel,fijne duikschool
Mooi eiland, mooie accomodaties, zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam personeel. Heerlijk gegeten en een goed georganiseerde duikschool op het eiland. Voor ons zeer relaxed met naast het duiken lekker niets en de hele week op blote voeten. Voor de liefhebber ook genoeg andere sporten mogelijk op het eiland.

I loved our stay at Vilamendhoo and would definitely return. The price, island location and access to reef and marine life excursions was great. The food was very good for a buffet as well. Also had a massage with Ayu at the spa and it was life changing. The only thing I would say was lacking a bit was the cleaning service in our water villa and the night life was pretty non-existent. The bar was open 24/7 which was nice but we were really the only ones out past about 11 pm (group of friends). Overall, great experience though!

Sin duda alguna es una de los mejores hoteles en los que he estado, todo esta siempre limpio, las playas son hermosas y muy cuidadas, la comida es muy variada y deliciosa y ni hablar del staff son enormemente amables te hacen sentir como en casa y que quieras regresar nuevamente. Tienes diferentes actividades para no aburrirte y disfrutar de la estadia. Si lo que buscas es un sitio para relajarte y desconectar este es el hotel mas apropiado para ello. Gracias Vilamendhoo por las mejores vacaciones que hemos tenido hasta el momento y quiero resaltar especialmente a las personas del staff Maujhood, Ilham, Mary, Paola y Visham.

Fabulous hotel and a wonderful holiday. Our second visit (unusual for us), having stayed previously in 2019. Vilamendhoo is an excellent resort that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants a relaxed Maldives holiday. We didn't wear shoes for our entire 12 night stay. Food choice and quality is excellent, one of the main reasons we re-booked this year. The buffet is brilliant and the Asian Wok restaurant, plus the teppanyaki table are superb too. Special "shout out" to Paul who made eggs for my wife & niece every day. The was charming and made them both smile each morning. The rooms are very good, clean and comfortable. Beds are good although we did need to ask for a topper to make it a bit softer. All the staff we interacted with were brilliant and really can't do enough to help and make your stay extra special. I was a bit cranky when we arrived after our long journey & they couldn't do enough to help solve a couple of minor irritations (which were my issue, rather than anything to do with the resort). Daniel, the Resort Manager / Assistant Manager also was brilliant is helping me with an error that I had made on our reservation - Daniel if you do read this, thank you so much. Sorting this for us, which was NOT Vilamendhoo's issue in any way, totally transformed our holiday and made it even more special. Thank you. Dive Centre is excellent and the house reef very very good too. Highly recommended.

Très belle île maldivienne, bungalows sur plage impeccables, rénovés avec goût en 2009. Literie ferme, mais très confortable. Restaurant en buffet très riche et varié, avec des produits de belle qualité, préparés de façon savoureuse. Pâtisseries extraordinaires. Belle ambiance reposante. Excursions spectaculaires, à la découverte des requins-baleines, des raies mantas, des tortues. PMT très riche sur le récif devant l’hôtel. Poissons variés et nombreux, meme si les coraux sont pour la plupart morts, comme partout aux Maldives. En résumé, super séjour.

Un coin de paradis
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour sur Vilamendhoo. Un vrai coin de paradis. La chambre sur pilotis était grande et agréable, avec en plus l’accès direct au lagon directement depuis l’escalier de notre terrasse, permettant d’aller faire du snorkeling a tout moment. Nous avons essayé les différents restaurants (Ahima restaurant, Asian Wok, Hot Rock), ils sont tous très bon. De même le diner aux chandelles sur la plage était magique. Nous avons aussi profité des différentes excursions, notamment Ocean Dicovery pour aller voir les raie Manta, les tortues et les requins baleine, une journée inoubliable. Quant au service il est vraiment de grande qualité. Le personnel se souvient de vos gouts, vos préférences et est très serviable.

Un paradis
Tout était parfait, la situation Covid est parfaitement gérée par l'hôtel. Le lieu est mieux que ce qu'on pouvait imaginer, pas une goutte de pluie, le personnel est vraiment au top... Faites tout de même attention aux pontons en bois, je me suis pris une énorme écharde qui m'a bien handicapé sur la fin du séjour, mais bon, c'est ma faute de ne pas avoir mis des chaussures. Mais il y a eu un gros point négatif dans ce voyage, c'est le vol en Hydravion. Il est indiqué en 25 minutes, sauf que la compagnie fait plusieurs escales... Nous avons été levé à 4h15 du matin pour rentrer, le vol était à 6h, mais nous sommes arrivé à l'aéroport à 8h pour un décollage à 9h20 !!! Je ne sais pas si l'hotel est au courant de ces escales, mais nous avons faillit loupé notre avion à cause de ça, tout était très serré pour rien finalement. Même ceux qui partaient 30min après de l'hotel étaient déjà à l'aéroport...

Le lieu idéal pour une lune de miel
Les 1500 caractères seront insuffisants pour décrire toutes les qualités de cet île-hôtel. Une arrivée en hydravion à couper le souffle. Très bien accueilli par Farineh, qui parle parfaitement le français. Nous étions sur les fameuses water villa avec jacuzzi, un secteur réservé aux adultes, qui sont posées directement sur un récif corallien exceptionnel, l'un des meilleurs des Maldives. Un cadre idyllique pour une lune de miel avec une eau transparente et un personnel d'une extrême amabilité. Le buffet est à la hauteur du paysage, très varié et chaque plat proposé est un régal. Les excursions sont superbes, facile de tomber sur des raies mantas, des requins baleines ou des tortues. Pour les fans de snorkelling c'est certainement l'un des plus bel endroit qui existe. Les mesures barrières concernant le covid-19 sont très bien respectées, il faudra simplement penser à réserver le sport en amont. Le SPA à base de gingembre est très agréable. Shooting avec une séance de 30 min offerte avec un professionnel. Nombreux choix de restaurants (mention spécial au Asian Wok), des activités sportives (terrain de foot, de tennis, piscine etc.). Vilamendhoo est un bonheur absolu.

We had an amazing holiday. The resort was fantastic, the staff could not of been more helpful in every aspect. The room was very comfortable and the bed linen was of a very good quality, the pillows were so good to sleep on. Food was of a very good quality and also very good choices. The only thing that would of been nice was a little snack (crisp/peanut) with our pre dinner drink but then it would of only added on another kilo or two!! I think we would definitely like to return for another holiday at some time in the not too distant future.

Excelente hotel , en una hermoso atolón , al que llegar ha es todo un placer, en hidroavión . Estuve hospedada al inicio en una Beach villa , y posteriormente en una over water . Las cabañas en la playa no son más pequeñas , pero se encuentran a orillas del mar , con intimidad , ya qué hay muchas palmeras . Se puede hacer snorquel a pocos pasos Las cabañas sobre el agua son más grandes ,cómodas , peor la Laguna que la rodea es baja y no puede hacerse snorquel en esa franja del Reef De volver , elegiría una Beach villa La comida es muy buena , así como la atención La única contra: cualquier extra suma mucho dinero

L'isola è molto bella, il mare stupendo con moltissimi pesci meravigliosi anche nella barriera corallina davanti all'isola. Le nostre camere (water villa) erano ben tenute, molto grandi, con un bel bagno, la vasca idromassaggio e la scaletta per scendere direttamente nell'acqua cristallina. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile.La colazione era molto ricca con moltissime cose a disposizione: yogurt, cereali, frutta fresca, uova in tutti i modi, brioches, muffin, e molto altro...Il menù del pranzo e della cena, a partire dall'antipasto fino al dolce era molto vario, con tantissimi piatti diversi, per tutti i gusti.. E il cibo era di ottima qualità: abbiamo mangiato veramente bene! Noi ci siamo trovati molto bene e lo consigliamo!
