'Location on the lakeside was perfect, as said free parking is a little down the road and hard to find, but in the early evening enough spaces are available. The room was great, but the cleaning staff started early and talked quite loud in the hallways. The man at breakfast was the kindest, great guy! Ferry to Varenna and Bellagio is about 5 min walking distance. Overall a great experience!'

'Het viel tegen na 1000km te hebben gereden in een hotel aan te komen waar we zelf ons bed moesten opmaken. Waar geen handdoeken klaar lagen om heerlijk te kunnen douchen. Het is niet een hotel om met een gezin te verblijven vonden wij. De bedden lagen wel goed. De prijzen voor eten en drinken is spot goedkoop en er zijn altijd mensen om mee te kletsen. Het hotel ligt vlak bij restaurantjes en gezellige terrasjes en de omgeving is prachtig.'

Unless you rent a car don’t book this place. Getting to and from town and the ferry with luggage is a nightmare without a car.

'The property would have been great only if they picked up our luggage from the bus port. It is high up in the mountain, very difficult to drag your luggage. Not enough warning provided as to how difficult it would be to take your baggage. No taxi, no pick up, I saw other guests who almost cried, dragging their luggage up to the hotel often on narrow oncoming traffic.'

"Geachte heer/mevrouw, Wij hebben van 18 tot 22 juni 2025 uw appartement aan het Comomeer gehuurd en willen u graag op de hoogte brengen van de ernstige gebreken en de slechte staat waarin het verblijf verkeert. Allereerst waren de foto’s op uw Vrbo-pagina duidelijk outdated en misleidend: de werkelijkheid stemde totaal niet overeen met wat wij ter plaatse aantroffen. Bij aankomst troffen wij de volgende problemen aan:• Toegang en gemeenschappelijke ruimtesDe entree en trapgang naar het appartement waren vies. Ernstig vervuild door vuilnisresten en groen aanslag van de planten/bomen op de vloeren.• TuinmeubilairTwee van de ligstoelen in de tuin zijn stuk en lagen daar gewoon in de tuin. Ook zijn er 2 tuintafels kapot en bedekt met vogelpoep en schimmel.• Ramen en ventilatieDiverse ramen haperen zodanig dat ze niet goed open of dicht gaan; hierdoor konden wij de ruimtes niet goed ventileren en het terras aan onze slaapkamer niet betreden.• Verlichting terrasDe buitenverlichting op het terras was ontkoppeld (draden hingen los) en lamp lag op de grond, waardoor het ’s avonds niet mogelijk was om iets te lezen op het terras.• KeukenapparatuurDe oven functioneert niet, en er ontbrak iedere vorm van handleiding of uitleg.• Internet en airconditioningEr was geen werkende wifi, drie dagen na onze aankomst werd een wifi router geplaatst. De airco of temperatuurregeling was geen gebruiksinstructie aanwezig.• Badkamers en sanitair Geen warm water !!!"
"Slecht onderhoud accomodatie. Geen goede informatie over parkeergelegenheid. Wasmachine stuk en verduisteringsgordijnen stuk. Doorgegeven bij HPS management. Alleen wasmachine is vervangen en lekkage in gootsteenkastje is verholpen. Op boekingssite staat niets vermeld over de parkeerplaatsen. Garage is alleen geschikt voor kleine auto"s"
"The house in itself is beautiful, and the location is truly nice, with a beautiful view. Especially from the bedrooms you have a great view over the lake.
It would have been a 5 star review if not for the condition of the maintenance of the house. I've seen reviews on google with added pictures, so the problems we saw where already existent and could/should have been fixed in my opinion. Some examples are: cupboards falling a part, missing shelves, mold in the shower, and peeling paint. Also, the kitchen inventory is very small (especially glasses and mugs are in short supply).
But the beds were the worst. One of the queensize beds had a wooden board as base for the matrass.
So in short, a part from the state of it, the house is perfect! And the sad part is that with not too much money (less than we paid for a week), most of it could be fixed easily.
Would I recommend a holiday here: yes I definitely would, because of the location, environment and the house in general. But I would also recommend the owner to fix the issues in a proper way.. to go from 2 or 3 star reviews to 5 stars easily..."
