'We booked all 3 pods for a 1 night stay on the way back to the airport after touring Costa Rica and all were excellent, privately located with an outdoor kitchen, toilet, shower, balcony and jacuzzi. Although quite remote, they do offer a takeaway delivery service from a local restaurant, and the town is approx 15 minutes away. Important to note that the transparent pod is down a steep windy narrow path with lots of uneven steps, which is quite difficult to walk up and down and a real challenge...

'We stopped in Puntarenas on our way back from the west coast to San Juan. Unless you are curious to see all of Costa Rica, there is not much at all in this area. It's a filthy, poor area with little to offer, even though it is so close to the beach. The hotel is kind of old and tired with an unclean looking pool. Food is mediocre at best. We had a suite in the newly build tower, supposedly with a view over the marina. No view unless you stand on the balcony. We asked for a different room but got...

'I did not like the buffet without covers. The insects and the birds were all over the food. Arriving at noon and was told to wait until 3pm without any drink or food. Not being able to use the facilities with the unbearable heat. I accept waiting for the room. The staff were disrespectful not caring about the fact that I am 75 years old.'

'Ingen info om noget da vi ankom. Virkede som om vi var til besvær. Vidste ikke rigtig hvem der var ansat, og hvem der var gæster. Køkkenet vi kunne tilberede vores mad i var beskidt. Madvarer hunde/katte foder og madskåle til dyr stod midt på gulvet i køkkenet Værelse var fint. Blev først gjort rent på 3. dagen da vi bad om det. '
