My family had a 4 night reunion at the lodge. The views of the lake were amazing, sunrise and sunset. We had plenty of space to relax and with 2 kitchens, cooking was easy. There are plenty of gathering areas, inside and out. We really enjoyed this place

This house was a perfect basecamp for a weekend with friends around Vonore & Tellico Plains. The house is beautiful with easy access to the lake. Everything was clean and in good working order, and the check-in process was simple & easy. Highly recommend!

The house was very comfortable and furnished nicely. The kitchen was very well stocked with every appliance and utensils needed to cook large meals, which we did. We had a great time!

The home was great for conversations with several areas to explore and was decorated for the holidays! As some have mentioned, the driveway is steep, but not an issue with normal weather. There is a grocery store and several good restaurants within a 5 to 10 mile drive. The area was nice and quiet!

Golf trip for the Ohio guys

Very nice place. Definitely would rent again. We had 8 golfers and had plenty of room for everyone.

Our whole family had a wonderful time at this lodge! There's plenty of space not just to sleep twelve people, but for everybody to dine and hang out together. The house is beautiful and the beds are comfortable! We enjoyed the access to the lake, though it is steep- there is room to bring a car next to the dock to ferry people and supplies.

Family Time

Our stay was great. The house is large and feels spacious. The lake side setting and views are exceptionally beautiful. The weather was less than perfect but sitting around the fire pit was very relaxing

I gathered with my siblings to celebrate Thanksgiving and we truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful house. The view of the lake was beautiful and the house was roomy enough for us all to spread out. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful House - Beautiful Views

We had our family here while we prepared for and attended my dads memorial. It was a wonderful house - we were very comfortable and loved the views of the lake. We definitely got our exercise walking the dog on the hills in the neighborhood- would love to stay again!

Great place for large family gatherings

We stayed for 4 nights with family - 5 adult couples, so the 5 bedrooms was perfect for us. Great gathering spaces and the biggest dining room table I have seen. Also nicely equipped- plenty of wine glasses, dishes etc. Clean. Easy check-in process.

Great Family Home

Lots of space, great rooms with homey personal touches, great outdoor living spaces with great lake view! Enjoyed our time in and on the water! Richard and Martha were very responsive and helpful with the few questions that we had. Peaceful and quiet!

Lake House Stay

We rented the cabin for a family vacation for a week. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice! The cabin is great and spacious with multiple masters across two stories. A great outdoor space on both levels including a great view of the lake. Overall a great stay at a quiet location on the lake!

We enjoyed our stay. It's located about 8 miles from Venore in the country. The access roads are full of twists and turns and Lost Village Lane is a private access one lane road with a 10 MPH speed limit, much like a roller coaster.The driveway is also steep with a curve, so with multiple vehicles we found it best to pause at the bottom to let the ones ahead to get out of the way and that takes a few minutes in the limited driveway space at the top.The carport does not have much room for parking, so we moved the furniture to allow room for our 3 small motorcycle trailers and 2 Can-Am Spyders, we parked the other 2 Can-Ams under the upper deck.The house is located on a hill, so the weeds and underbrush surrounds the house and driveway. For those of us who ventured outside of the house to the carport we noticed a lot of bugs crawling around in those areas, and I ended up with 32 chigger bites on my legs without leaving the carport or driveway.The indoor space is well maintained and very comfortable especially with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on the carport level which we used for our older guests for better access. The upstairs level (main living area) is accessible via an inside stairway or from the driveway after negotiating a steep incline and a sharp curve from the carport area and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.The house has some settling pains in places.The house was comfortably equipped with living, kitchen and laundry areas on both levels.It is very private.

Motorcycle friends

Great location! Loved the cabin, beautiful view of the lake, plenty of room and bathrooms. The owners had it stocked well which was super nice since we were on motorcycles. We had 9 motorcycles, the driveway was steep and tricky. You definitely have to know what you are doing to get up it, but it can be done. I’m a woman and I rode mine up and down it.

House needs serious deep cleaning and updating. Mouse droppings in kitchen draws. Air vents packed with dust. Downstairs musty! Cobwebs and dead bugs and stink bugs on floors and ceiling corners. Bedroom walls covered in dust. Deck unsafe and needs repair. Limited view of lake. Deck covered with debris (we had to ask TN family member to bring over a blower so we could clear the debris). Deck furniture broken and falling apart. Driveway is at 20% grade and crumbling! Unsafe to walk up or down! Trees and bushes overgrown onto driveway - impassible without scratching vehicles. I will not be renting this home again when visiting TN next.

CO/MN yearly getaway

The house was very nice and well taken care of. Owners were easy to contact. The driveway was a bit steep. We had 4 Harleys, all pulling trailers behind our bikes, and you had better be on your game to maneuver this driveway!! All in all a great place to stay!

Christmas at Sequoia Lodge

We were 8 adult family and friends celebrating the Christmas holiday. House was exactly as portrayed and the the hosts were very timely and communicative. The house was decorated for Christmas which was beautiful and much appreciated. Large dining table in the rear porch was decorated and exactly what we needed to Christmas dinner. We much appreciate all you did for us Martha and Richard.

Motorcycle Get away

We had 5 couples stay at the cabin. We all ride motorcycles. Driveway was steep but we all were able to get up and back down with no problem. The cabin was beautiful. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The views were amazing. We even enjoyed a dip in the lake after riding all day. A lot of fun was had by all of us.

Beautiful & Spacious

Beautiful location and convenient boat ramp with easy access to the lake. The beds were soft. New mattresses (downstairs master) would be a plus. Overall clean, but really dusty. The cleaning team could spend a bit more time in the details. Very soft touch from owners, which is a huge plus.

The condition of the lodge inside is good. The outside of the lodge needs so repairs. However, the cement drive into the property is in major disrepair. The last 100 feet to the lodge is very, very steep, overgrown with trees and is not car or motorcycle friendly. You can not park under the car port because of the boats that are there. We would stay again if the driveway wasn't so steep.
