Luxe huis in de buurt van Rock met prachtig uitzicht op het platteland - perfect voor 2 gezinnen

Rocksalt is ons mooie vakantiehuis met 4 slaapkamers net buiten Rock aan de kust van Noord-Cornwall. Gebouwd en ingericht naar een zeer hoge standaard in 2008, is het huis gelegen in een prachtige omgeving met verreikend uitzicht over het platteland van Cornwall, maar toch slechts een paar minuten rijden van Rock met waterskiën en paddle boarding, het surfstrand van Polzeath en kindvriendelijk strand van Daymer Bay.

De accommodatie is licht en luchtig en bestaat uit 4 grote slaapkamers met 2 en-suites en 1 familiebadkamer; een open luxe keuken / woonkamer / eetkamer die zeer goed is uitgerust met grote comfortabele banken, een flatscreen HD-tv en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er is een tuin op het zuiden (die volledig beveiligd is omdat deze aan de voor- en achterkant is omheind) met een weber-houtskoolbarbecue en een warme en koude surfersdouche.

NIEUWSFLASH: WE HEBBEN NU SUPERFAST ONBEPERKT BREEDAND. Je kunt BBC iplayer, YouTube enz. Op tv en Netflix bekijken als je een account hebt.

Niet alleen is het huis goed bediend voor tal van prachtige stranden, maar in de buurt zijn er vier uitstekende golfbanen en een enorm scala aan andere activiteiten, waaronder surfen, waterskiën, coasteren, kajakken, fietsen, zeilen en tennis. Dagjes uit zijn onder andere het schilderachtige vissersdorp Port Isaac (locatie voor de tv-serie Doc Martin); Padstow met zijn winkels en uitstekende restaurants, waaronder het beroemde 'Seafood Restaurant' van Rick Stein (de waterveerboot loopt overdag constant van Rock naar Padstow); het schilderachtige Camel-fietspad van Bodmin naar Padstow via Wadebridge (ideaal voor alle leeftijden en eenvoudig te organiseren fietsverhuur) en iets verder weg, het wereldberoemde Eden Project. Dit is een perfecte locatie voor gezinnen, surfers, golfers, fijnproevers en wandelaars.

Boven is er een grote tweepersoonskamer met een super kingsize (6 voet) bed, een grote kamer met twee eenpersoonsbedden en een familiebadkamer met douche boven het bad. Beneden is er een tweepersoonskamer met een kingsize bed (5 voet) met en-suite badkamer met douche boven het bad en een kamer met twee bedden en een eigen doucheruimte. Wit beddengoed en handdoeken zijn allemaal voorzien voor uw gemak. Dit is het perfecte huis voor een grote of twee kleine gezinnen.

Barthek!

Barthek means wonderful in Cornish. I stay in rental properties often, usually arranging week-long vacations with family and friends. RockSalt is among the very best. Plenty of space, iconic view of the Cornish countryside, equipped with everything (and it all worked easily.) We had no hassles and the owner answered our questions quickly and throughly, obviously wanting us to have a wonderful time in a wonderful area of Cornwall.

Great property.

We loved our stay at the property. It is a good size, is well decorated, great lay out and high quality furnishing. The location worked for us, close to Polzeath, Rock and Wadebridge, yet out of the way enough to be away from the crowds. Initially we wondered whether being on a site of holiday homes would be a problem, but it was quiet and all the other holiday makers were respectful. There is a good set up. The house itself is a really good size and it is the little things that make a difference; three large comfy sofas; neff appliances; big comfy beds; powerful showers; plenty of plates and cutlery; outside shower to clean beach gear. There is also a utility room to put beach towels, swimwear etc. The outside space is good. The table could be a little bigger, but we only used a couple of times. The field at the back which is advertised as a space the kids can play is currently uncut, but makes for a nice view of wild flowers and long grass. If I could add one small thing: a downstairs separate toilet, but that would be being picky on an overall excellent 10 star property. Would defo stay again if in the area.

Fabulous property

We have been visiting Cornwall for many years, staying close to Rock and padstow, Rocksalt has been by far our favourite stay. The location is great, just a stones throw from Rock where there’s a quick boat trip across to padstow or a quick drive to Polzeath. The property was immaculately clean and tidy, lots of space for our family, plenty of outdoor space to relax and for the kids to play. Communication with Ros was great, a quick note to make sure we were happy with everything was appreciated. Overall a great stay at a lovely property, hope to be back soon.

Three generation visit to Cornwall

We had plenty of space for our family of seven and thoroughly enjoyed the view from this well thought out retreat with comfortable seating for all. The children enjoyed the yard toys left for them and the adults enjoyed having a well stocked kitchen to enjoy some meals in. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. Great location for visiting Polzeath beach and Tintagel Castle. Don’t forget to sample the Cornwall Pastis!

We had a lovely stay at Rocksalt. The accommodation is spacious , very clean & comfortable and in a great location for visiting this part of north Cornwall . Kitchen is very well equipped for self catering with lots of pots/ pans and good supply of crockery & glasses. Great appliances too! Lovely house, well maintained and well equipped, with plenty of space for our family of five. Nice garden, comfy beds and good showers. Also an outside shower to wash away sand from the beach. We really appreciated the evening breeze after the warm daytimes. Only thing to mention is that the bedroom blinds are not blackout (venetian) so bring an eye mask if you like it very dark to sleep. Good location, nowhere reachable on foot but many places just a short drive away. Would love to return some time.

Spacious family holiday home

Clean, well furnished, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so great for extended family. Lovely quiet location with views over the Camel Valley. Close to Rock and Wadebridge but a car is necessary as the roads are not great for walking or cycling. Well equipped and spacious kitchen, which was great for sharing the cooking, BBQ for the dry days! Comfy beds, lots of sofas, exactly what we were looking for.

Amazing short break

This amazing property was perfect in every way for our first family break for over two years. Ros was the ideal host, keeping us fully informed from the point of booking and all through our stay, with an extra nice bottle wine surprise waiting upon our arrival. The property has been built and furnished to very standards, which is also matched with the cleanliness. The locations is idyllic, with incredible views (especially for those early morning coffee’s), and also as a launch point for visiting all those fabulous places within Cornwall. Can’t recommend this property enough, excellent value for money.

Loved it!!

This is a stunning property and the pictures are an accurate reflection. Everything is top end with Neff appliances in kitchen. The furnishings are lovely and beds were really comfortable. Ros had thought of everything and then some!! We were 6 mature adults there to play golf and walk. The property would work very well for families as well. We are looking to return at the same time next year. Thanks Ros for a fantastic stay
