I want to start by saying that we really enjoyed our stay, and the property was very lovely and the view was gorgeous. Our host was very kind and helpful, though at times not as reliable with communication as I would have liked (ie, I would message one afternoon but not hear back until the following afternoon). We had issues with a couple of the AC units, which they tried to remedy, but my kids’ room smelled from the AC unit for the entirety of the visit, which my daughter struggled with. We bought new pans and baking sheet for the kitchen, because the ones provided were either too small or overused and the coating was scratched and chipping. The washing machine for the laundry left all the towels and clothes smelling strong of mold/mildew, even though we did a sanitize cycle and got the clothes out as soon as they were done washing. This was very unpleasant for all of us. The good news is that once we got home and washed everything in our own washer, that smell came out. The carpets need to be cleaned or changed as well, but if your family wears shoes in the house, you probably won’t be bothered by this. The beds and couches were comfortable enough, but could’ve been more supportive. For a property that charges over 1000 per night on average, I had expected better and was a bit disappointed. At this price point, a single night could pay for news pans, a new washing machine, and proper maintenance on the AC units. It was otherwise what we needed and backyard was beautiful.
