Makaha op het Strand-Back in Time (Direct Oceanfront)

  • Gelegen op een Golden Sandy Beach Cove, we zijn direct aan zee & baai front. Een zeldzame vondst, een van de weinige waar zeeschildpadden dagelijks rusten. U kunt het strand en de schildpadden vanuit de keukenvensters zien, ontspannen in de schaduw van palmen of zwemmen in de baai met de schildpadden. Een geweldige plek om te genieten van de Hawaiiaanse zonsondergangen, in feite het punt dat we zijn op staat bekend als Sunset Point. De comfortabele / schone 3 slaapkamer 1-1 / 2 badkamer cottage is perfect voor 1-3 koppels of kleine gezinnen om te genieten van de bezienswaardigheden en geluiden van de oceaan en een bezoek aan het eiland Oahu. De woonruimtes zijn gerenoveerd in april 2018 en zijn nu geverfd en voorzien van nieuwe ramen, airconditioners in de woonkamer en nieuwe plafondventilatoren in elke slaapkamer.
    Nog steeds dicht genoeg bij Waikiki voor een dagje uit, maar ver genoeg om de 'echte Hawaii' te zien. Voorzieningen op het terrein zijn kajaks, paddleboards en Boogie-boards. Het huis is ons persoonlijke weekendje weg, dus we houden het goed gevuld met alle gemakken van thuis.
    We hebben visvijvers en tiki's om van te genieten, maar natuurlijk ook de oceaan en zonsondergangen zijn de belangrijkste aanspreekpunt voor iedereen die te bezoeken. Tiki fakkels zijn beschikbaar om de sfeer van het oude Hawaii te maken en je bent ver van lawaai van de straat, zodat de oceaan will rock je in slaap en de vogels zullen u wakker in de ochtend. Velen hebben het paradijs op aarde genoemd en herhaalde bezoekers zijn erg belangrijk voor ons. Velen keren jaar na jaar terug en boeken meerdere jaren van tevoren.

FAST EDDIE HOME AGAIN!

We had such a great time on our last visit that we came back ( I even brought my mother in law). There was 8 people in our party and the house was totally comfortable and accomedating. Tom was so very helpful with directions and how things worked around the house. There was every kind of water toy you can think of to make our stay an awesome experiance. Even our 9 year old grand daughter was never bored. The beautiful sunsets, swimming with the turtles, seals coming into the cove, and we even seen a manta rey in the cove on our last day there. We could have stayed another 10 days. It is a home away from home and we can't wait to come back for even a longer stay. Love our home away from home!!!

You did it again Tom!! This is our 3rd time at "Back in Time" and as usual I and my family LOVED IT. The house is always inviting, the turtles were there, and the sunsets beautiful, beautiful. Deb and I spent the first four days by ourselves before the rest of the family got there and we called it our second honey moon. Spent many days on the beach, water, and just laying on lawn chairs looking at the waves, which by the way were great during the full moon. Every toy we wanted was right there to play in water and just kick back was available. The house is clean and has everything you need to just LIVE. The locals are great and always friendly. We will be back as many times as we can get away. You need to relax, regroup on life, learn to love again, this is the place to go! Thanks again Tom for a awesome place to come and enjoy life. Spectacular Sunsets!

Place is exactly as described, right on the beach and saw turtles everyday! A little ways away from tourist attractions so you do have to drive, but absolutely worth it! Would stay here again for sure. Tom always checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and the place had plenty of ocean toys to use right there 🙂!

Best View in Makaha !!!

This house is located on a beautiful cove with amazing sunsets an abundance of sea life. We were able to see pacific green turtles and schools of fish almost everyday and the snorkeling in the cove was fantastic too! The house is cozy with all amenities you’ll need for an extended stay. Tom stocks the house with plenty of towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies which is nice so his guests don’t have to worry about buying them while there. There is also a ton of water toys, ranging from kayaks, boogie boards, snorkels and fins to surfboards. The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood with shopping and restaurants not too far away. Tom checked in with us often to make sure we didn’t need anything and would bring us papayas and avocados from his mountain property. They were so delicious. Overall it was a great experience and we have rebooked another stay at this lovely location.

Location!!!

Love the quiet side of the island. The house has everything you need for comfort and fun. Saw a turtle and people watching in the cove on the weekend was fun. Don't miss end of the road drive and beaches!

My perfect Hawaii

This place has everything I was hoping for when I planned my vacation to Hawaii. A house that is comfortable, has a feel of individual character that you can immediately settle into as if you were home. And this is not the best feature. The location right on a small neighborhood beach is the best and the views of the ocean and sunsets from the front lanai are the best I have ever experienced.

Family vacation

The house and property are absolutely amazing. Perfect location. The house has anything you could ask for. Very comfortable living conditions. Tom is a great guy who is always there if you needed him. We loved Bill the duck who would come sit out front at night while we were on the lanai. We saw turtles on the beach every day and a seal one day. We also went through a storm while we were there and had no problems. Amazing views! Will definitely return.

Home away from home

Loved our stay. Tom & Kathy make you feel relaxed and at home from the moment you arrive. Away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki yet close enough to enjoy all the sights Hawaii has to offer. Enjoyed watching sea turtles on the beach just feet from the house, watching whales pass by out front, and beautiful sunsets from the front yard - who could ask for anything more? How about a Koi pond and a resident duck named Bill. Mahalo Tom & Kathy for a wonderful vacation!

We loved everything about Tom's property. He has an awesome set up! We miss his place. Fully stocked home close to the best little beaches with turtles and waves!!! All the water toys you need from boogie boards to surf boards and paddle boards. Even a cute little rare duck who my husband and kids loved to feed every morning. This location is amazing for anyone wanting to get away from the typical tourist crush. Spacious and comfortable with access to the beach that can not be beat. It feels like home as soon as you walk in and it's a fantastic place to decompress.

Awesome View and Sunsets

The views from the porch and the backyard was were very beautiful and having access to the beach was a big plus. The duck named Bill who resides by the Choi pond was an interesting character. My family did enjoy the stay overall, we just wish that it would have been a little bit cleaner. The house was nicely redone inside and it worked for us having the 3 bedrooms and sofa bed. The kitchen has everything you need and the outside shower was really nice to use after you hang out at the beach.

Beautiful location and friendly owner.

Tom met us at the property to show us a few things. Home was bigger than I expected with everything we needed. Lots of water toys, great backyard for morning coffee and of course, the resident duck, Bill. Our 22 year old daughter already misses him. We saw many turtles and one seal at our stay on the beach. It was very close to many things, thank you so much.

Perfect ... as good as if not better than advertised .

My family has stayed at Makaha back in time for 4 yrs in a row. We already booked a month in 2019 too. We love everything about this place. The town, the cove , the neighbors as well as the house we call our second home. Tom is a great Landlord, and the house is perfect for families. I hate to shine a bright light on this Gem (selfish I know) but it really is heaven on earth...

Amazing dramatic coastline views

Overall the best location on the islands with views that change every minute. While the feeling your in a far away place called "paradise" is present from morning coffee to sunset its a feeling not found elsewhere on Earth. We did not even turn on the air conditioners as the trade winds kept the home fresh & cool. The kids did not want to leave because who is going to feed the Duck & fish at the Koi pond. Best in class award for this one.

Back in Time with Incredible Views

Couldn't ask for a better relaxing place and a great host. Fruit Plate on arrival of harvest grown by the host. Free views of Hawaiian Green Turtles every day relaxing on the beach (even an unintended swimming with one). Home is roomy, clean and truly a reflection on how Hawaii was before the glitter of Waikiki. What a pleasant get away for us...Plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, and even watch only the TV we wanted, if we wanted. Bill, the female Mallard was a great friend and guest who often occupied the beautiful tropical fish pond out back. Great neighbors too. Nuff said.. be back someday...Mahalo!

Great & Memorable Stay

Tom was very good to work with us on our arrival and departing times. He met us at the house and was extremely nice and personable!! The house was great and worked well for our family of 7. It was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The neighbors on the property were very nice and pleasant as well. My kids loved the pet "Bill" that was there as well they are wanting one now!! We were at the house when Hawaii had the missile scare and Tom & Kathy were great in telling us what to do!! They were a GREAT help!! The only downfall I could find with this property was we were not able to spend as much time just relaxing that was wanted and we could only stay there for 7 days! I would recommend this house to ANYONE!! Great Price, Great Location!! Would definitely stay there again on another trip!!
