  • Lovely Ma'alaea Banyans # 202 ligt in een rustig resort aan het strand met 180 ° uitzicht op de oceaan. De slaapkamer heeft een queensize bed en de woonkamer een slaapbank; dus het appartement is geschikt voor vier.     Als u van plan bent om een dag (of vier of meer) in het resort te plannen, is het leuk om deze twee plaatsen te voet (of op beide voeten) te verkennen: Ma'alaea Town heeft een bruisende haven met boeiende excursies - overwinterende walvishorloges , snorkelende tochtjes en romantische zonsondergangen. Grenzend aan de jachthaven zijn winkels, restaurants, het Maui Aquarium, en een familie-leuke locatie met minigolf en nog veel meer. Sugar Beach ligt net ten oosten van de stad - het is een deel van zandige rust, een paar mijlen-en-beetje-meer, die je meeneemt naar North Kihei, waar je wat kunt eten en traktaties krijgt voordat je naar huis gaat- basis, fysiek en mentaal vernieuwd.
    Je weet misschien dat Ma'alaea de basis is van de landengte die ten oosten van Maui uit het westen ligt; en je kunt je realiseren dat je als zodanig gemakkelijk van daaruit kunt trekken om te genieten van het volledige assortiment van Maui-attracties met lage reistijden (15 tot 40 minuten) naar: Kihei, Wailea en Makena; Lahaina en Kaanapali; Kahului en Paia, en Makawao. It was clean and functional and just what I wanted for a quick few days with my daughter. Cost is reflective of the place. If you are looking for a fancy or updated environment and plan to spend a lot of time inside this is not the place. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to park your belongings and adventure it is perfect. It was clean and well located.

Nice view and resort convenient to area sites. The host did have a new toaster delivered when the one in the condo would not work. No response to our finding a drawer with A pan with old vegetables that had molded throughout the drawer.The condo itself has been poorly maintained. The furniture and bedding were worn out and uncomfortable. There were outlets and light switches that did not work. Carpet was old and had been partially covered with a thin area rug. The toilet also ran most of the time and the unit could use a more thorough cleaning.

Absolutely amazing

I have stayed at so many vrobs and this by far is one of the best. Thank you so much for letting us to your home to enjoy this spectacular view ❤️ Everything we needed was here including the much used beach chairs . It was so cool to see the turtles on the little beach out front as well .

Nice place!

This condo is right along the ocean, so the view is wonderful. There is a small lanai with a table we sat at and had breakfast and at night I would leave the window open to listen to the waves. It is an easy 15 minute drive to Kihei. the carpets could use a cleaning, but everything else was clean and also a safe area with pleasant people to say hello to. We would stay here again.

Amazing views!

We have stayed at Maalaea Banyans since 1990 in many of the condos. The views are outstanding, we love the location and walking on sugar beach. Unit 202 could use some updating, even just comfortable furniture would be great. The floors need a good scrubbing but over all the unit worked for our basic needs.

There's a small beach area where the turtles like to sunbathe. The condo itself was as advertised. The king size bed was comfortable. Very much appreciated the beach chairs and coolers - we used them every day. Easy walk to the Maui Ocean Center and shops/restaurants. Only 8 minute drive to the point to watch the sunset. We rented a kayak for a day and enjoyed being on the water. The air conditioning in the condo works well for the living area but even with fans, it doesn't reach the bedroom very well.

The room was clean and well stocked with most everything you need except spices. Normally the places we have stayed in has at least salt and pepper, some a cornucopia of of the previous quest spices. The balcony view was beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful as well. Unless you are on the first floor there is no access to them from 10pm to 7:30 am. Being a morning person that was disappointing. This was the first out of 3 condos on this street that was the case. It does have a washer and dryer but no laundry soap, so if you intend to use it bring it with you. Air-conditioning is there if you need it, we live off grid and shut it off. The breeze is more the enough. We enjoyed our stay here.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were 4 adults, looking forward to enjoy the room and the island, we arrived with our groceries ready to get some food but found the table only has 3 chairs. We also realized afterwards, the kitchen bar counter but has no chairs to eat at either, plus was extremely high. We had issues with the TV which was resolved but was a bit disappointing due to bad weather news we needed to know about, since there was flooding occurring and road closures. The furniture was well worn and really should be replaced. The worst was shower did not drip, but actually ran. It felt like water torture while trying to sleep at night, even with the door closed to the bathroom.The manager, did note the issue but due to the building plumbing, the entire place had to have water turned off to fix the problem. With the drought issues in Maui, I had thought that fixing the running water would have been a priority. We ended up leaving a day early since the room was so depressing. But the view was one of the best from the lanai, that is the only saving grace of this place. The manager, Rosemary did respond quickly to our issues so that helped somewhat.

It was also away from the crowds, so you had plenty of privacy. The sea turtles would come ashore daily just outside the condo. There was also a nice beach with a short 5-minute walk. It was a very pleasant experience.
