Absolutely loved staying here during our family trip to Maui for 8 nights, and would definitely stay here again. The ground level lanai was perfect with kids who wanted to be outside constantly and get in the pool and beach. Location is great in central/south Maui and a fairly short drive to everything. It was perfect. Only complaint was the back sliding door is difficult to open and close even for adults.

Best Possible location
We absolutely loved this condo. The location was perfect. 20 minutes from the airport and close to all major highways. I don't think we missed a beach or hike. Did the road to Hana and both of the mountains. Took an amazing whale watching tour out of Lahiana. The condo was equipped with everything we needed. Beach chairs, boogey boards and coolers. We can't wait to go back.

Family Christmas holiday
This was our 11th stay in 21 years. We always go to this condo complex. This was the first time staying in the ground floor unit, very convenient. Not the greatest ocean views, but we just sat out on the grounds more often. We love being in the Maalaea area, very close to everything.

Perfect Maui Home Base
This was a perfect place for our week of adventures in Maui. Central location, easy parking, quiet and secure. Ground floor is super convenient and felt private and safe. Owner was very helpful with our questions and it made for a great vacation. Would do this again for sure!

We had an incredible stay at this Ma’alaea condo! The breathtaking ocean views were the highlight of our trip – waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying stunning sunsets from the balcony made our vacation truly memorable. Wonderful location
Condo was beautiful and we had just a short walk to a beach that went all the way to Kihei!! Surfers out every day. Pool was just steps away. Grounds crew worked every day to keep the pool and grounds impeccable. Fresh flowers were a nice touch when we arrived. The condo was equipped with everything we could ever need to make our trip perfect. Be sure to ask the grounds crew if you need boogie boards or surf boards to borrow.

Alles war ok, Pool, Apartment, Ausstattung, Küche, Waschmaschine und Trockner ok! Viel gesehen, 3 Tage am Pool verbracht, Alles ok! Einziges Problem war die Sauberkeit, tote Kakerlaken, nach einigen Minuten barfuß gehen hatte man schwarze Füße! Unter dem Bett war altes essen zu finden und Popkorn! Da würden wir nachschauen! 2 weeks in paradise
Overall, great. One Problem: 1. Both doors would not lock properly so we had to spend all day inside on our first day waiting for maintenance, however he did fix it by the evening and there were no more issues with the locks Suggestions: 1. Please purchase new pots and pans and throw away those that are there, EVERYTHING sticks to them 2. Bring in paper supplies each week, so when people like us rent 2 weeks back to back we don't have to purchase what would have been given to new tenants after a week 3. Get two spatulas to mix with 4. Place a sweep under the front door so that leaves and insects do not come in when the doors are open for the breeze to come in Compliment: Your housekeeper was awesome trying to locate a lost hard drive from my computer. She went out of her way to search. She didn't find it, but tried and kept in contact with me the whole time.

The location of the condo was perfect. The pool, grounds, and view were beautiful. The unit itself was a bit dirty upon arrival. We had to sweep and wash bedding prior to use. Several lights were out that we replaced. The couch could use a deep clean. The back door sticks and was very difficult to open and close. It was convenient that it was well stocked with cleaning supplies though.

Great Option for Reasonably Priced Oceanfront
The location of the condo was pretty centrally located with easy and relatively quick access to all areas of the island. The location was also quiet. The areas where more of the resorts are were very busy. It was great to be able to drive to those places to eat, go to the beach, etc. but then come back to our own quieter location. The condo was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning is not central air, it is a wall unit in the living room. It kept the main area cool but not the bedrooms. There were fans in the bedrooms that did help some. We literally could watch whales while sitting outside and drinking coffee in the morning. The Maalaea General Store was a great little place for breakfast and it was within walking distance. The beach directly in front of the condo is eroded. You need to walk down the street to get to the beach, although it’s a very short distance. I wholeheartedly agree with some other reviews that the condo is in need of maintenance, updating and a deep cleaning. I admit I have very high cleaning standards but I believe pretty much anyone would agree the condo needs a deep clean, regardless of their cleaning standards. Our communication with the owners prior to our stay was great and they were very responsive. If you are looking for a reasonably priced condo that is oceanfront this would be a great option.

It is a great location near the harbother. Residents at the condos are very easy to get along. We had a great time at the pool and watching the turtles out in front. I like the condo so much. I booked it for a month next year.

Safe and comfortable
Fantastic location on the island and we were able to view whales from the property! Overall we felt safe here and the condo is clearly a home as it is stocked like one. It made for a very easy stay. The kitchen is appointed with everything you need for cooking. The beds were fine but the pillows were too firm for some in our party. Not a deal breaker. Everything you need for the beach is available. Showers had good water pressure and the bathrooms were clean. We would stay here again. Some things for others to consider: it’s not ideal for small children. There are pieces of pottery, flower displays and figurines throughout the condo. I was very afraid our infant would pull down the display shelves and get hurt/break things. The pack n play was broken but there is a listing for a local rental place right in the kitchen and it was a great value and service. I concur with other reviews that a deep cleaning is necessary. The floors, carpets and furniture upholstery need a serious steam cleaning. Check in was easy and clear instructions given. Wifi worked well. Parking was never a challenge and the grounds were maintained well. Communication with the owner was prompt and she was kind to us via the app.

Great Location!
We love staying at Kana'i A Nalu! This was our second time staying at a condo in this complex. It's a great central location for easy access to all points on Maui. We love having the pool in the central courtyard, a great beach for boogie boarding & snorkelling just down the street, and quiet at night except for the sounds of the ocean waves crashing on the beach. This condo was cozy, well supplied, & comfortable. It is a bit outdated and in need of a bit of maintenance here & there but would definitely stay there again! Thanks for the great trip!

Très bel emplacement
La décoration n'est pas au goût du jour, surchargée mais fonctionnelle. Les tapis ont besoin de nettoyage. La porte patio est très difficile à ouvrir. Le terrain autour de la propriété ainsi que la piscine et le BBQ sont impeccables. Pas d'épicerie proche. On recommande fortement cet emplacement malgré les petits inconvénients.

I had a good visit in Maui but I wasn’t exactly happy with the condo. Pretty old and dinghy, the beech chairs need to be replaced. The master bath mirror was falling off of the wall, we took showers in the dark because the lights didn’t work very well. The bath tub was dirty as well as the jets. Couldn’t take a bath at all. I sent an email to the owner regarding all of the above and have yet to get a reply. Not worth almost 2k. Won’t be back there. Won’t recommend.

the location of the property was great, pool was great, bbq area was great. The condo itself, not so great. The bedding was clean and fresh but the rest of the condo was not cleaned when we arrived. Floors were dirty, dirty dishes in the cupboard (lipstick marks on drinking glasses), hair all over bathroom floor, hair on bathroom counter tops, and sand all over floor of shower. The condo needs a really good cleaning. The cockroaches that were hanging out in the kitchen and dining area were not welcome as our guests. The dryer vent needs to be cleaned as the lint catch screen does not even sit in the slot properly. All of these issues were sent to the property owner while we were there. Since property owner relies on a cleaning service, they may/or may not have been aware previously that cleaning seems to be an issue. we would stay in the same area again, even same complex but not in this unit.

Nice spot for families-pros and cons
This is a good property as far as location and size. The kitchen and flooring throughout is pretty updated vs other condos there. Great amenities provided. Tons of cookware and beach supplies. Beach supplies include chairs,body boards, and sand castle play equipment. They have a ton of towel sets as well. And while I appreciate that I'd like to see at least the bedding be white sheets in order to bleach between customers. Some cons would be that the washer has a mildew smell and there's black spots on the rubber lining of the front load washer. We tried cleaning and scrubbing it but it needs more than what is available at the condo. The second room is also too far from the ac source and is too warm at night. Those guests wound up pulling out the couch bed to sleep near the ac. The unit was not properly cleaned and I was a bit disappointed to find old food on some cookware in the oven, a mildewed washer and a dirty feminine product on the floor behind the trash can in the master bathroom. The guest bath also doesn't have a fitting stopper so while its a jet tub, there's no way to really use it. The second room also smelled after guests did not use it and we had shut the door to that room. Really needs another ac source. The kitchen stove top is also cracked, and while it still works you should be cautious when using it. Under the beds are extremely dusty as well. I just think the cleaning could be better! Theres all the dishware you would need but its really too much! There's no cabinet space for any food you may buy on this trip because there's an overflow of dishware😅 Overall: this is a good spot for the price point if you'd like to just be at the pool and ocean all day which was exactly my goal. Lahaina where activities and touristy stuff is located, is a 30 min ride to the east side of the island. Approx 30-50 by lyft or $2/ride for a city bus ride. We did both and the bus ride is not bad.

This is a very nice 1st floor unit with a beautiful view. It is very well equipped with everything you need for your vacation stay. It is kid friendly with water and sand toys and a pack and play crib. We enjoyed our stay there for 12 days.

Great condo in a perfect location
We spend a week of vacation in the condo. Great central location in the island and easy to reach all attractions we wanted to visit. Apartment complex has a private pool and access to a beach, and there is a park in just 3 minutes walk that has access to empty long beach. The apartment is equipped with everything needed to go out, cook, and relax. Excelent host: prompt and clear communication. Highly recommend this property.

Needs a deep cleaning
We really liked the location of this property. It was a nice quiet area. The beach by the property, although kinda washed away, was so nice to relax on. This unit is in dire need of a deep cleaning! There were layers of dust on the walls and lampshades. The showers really needs better cleaning. The kitchen just needs an overall thorough wipe down inside and outside of the cabinets. I would definitely stay here again if it was cleaned really well. The two umbrellas that were available for use were both broken-huge bummer! Loved all of the towels available for use and the two good chairs to take to the beach. The other two were kind of meh. Being on the ground level was SO nice! We did encounter several cockroaches while there-ugh! I know they are common in the climate, but still.

A true gem
This condo is magical. Wake up to walk the beach and watch sunrise over Haleakala. Watch whales breaching in front of the condo. Beautifully maintained grounds - nice mosaic-tiled pool, grills, lounge chairs, and STUNNING landscaping. Condo is equipped with everything you need, seriously. Cannot recommend enough. We will definitely be back.

Awesome location and grounds, OK condo
We enjoyed our stay in the condo/property for a week over Christmas. I have to give 3 stars as it was just OK. We had some issues with cleaning upon checkin. Some things were missed which was frustrating. Some of the amenities were either broken or not working. We felt that the condo was very cluttered with many unnecessary furnishings that made the condo feel quite cramped. The master bedroom had extra shelves and a desk that served little purpose other than making the room feel cramped and had little room to store our suit cases and made opening the windows challenging. The kitchen had good appliances, but unfortunately the cupboards had so much clutter and unnecessary dishes etc, there was no where in any cupboard to store any of our food. I don't like to leave negative reviews, and the condo was OK, but we feel we didn't receive good value for the amount we paid :(

Great for families!
We absolutely loved this stay! If you don’t need to be in the hustle and bustle and prefer a quiet location this is ideal. The pool is great, the beach is awesome for kids and long walks, the kitchen is really well equipped, there are convenience stores close and Kihei is only 10-15 minutes away for more extensive options. This is a perfect spot for a family that is just looking for a quiet time with lot of relaxing. If we come to Maui again we will seek this rental out!

A Nice Getaway with Family
We have stayed at this condo complex many times and in various units over the past twenty-plus years. The units generally have the same floor plan. The grounds are immaculate. The pool is fantastic. You have relatively easy access to the beach although not as great as in the past with recent damage to the original seawall and stairs. The views are breathtaking. The beach is great for walking early in the morning and at sunset. Mid-day can be breezy. The outdoor dining and grilling areas are great. You are minutes away from the Maui Ocean Center and the Shops at Maalaea. Additionally, Kihei and Kahului are about 15-minutes away. This unit has many upsides such as a nice, well stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes, pots, pans, silverware and pantry supplies. There are ample cleaning supplies. There are also an abundance of linens and towels. The hall bathroom has a jetted tub. There is a closet full of beach chairs, toys, umbrellas and various snorkel gear items. There is a large TV in the living room and one in each bedroom. The wifi is adequate for most needs. I did not rate 5-stars becuase of cleanliness issues. There were a number of maintenance issues during our star, but the owner was responsive and the most import issues were addressed during our stay.

Snorkeling vacation
The condo was perfect for our vacation needs. Beautiful views from the living room as it looks out to the pool and beach. The grounds are well maintained and the outdoor grills are clean and well constructed for an easy outdoor cook meal. Condo is well equipped, from a well supplied kitchen to a closet full of outdoor equipments and beach towels. We had a wonderful time on Maui and this home away from home was really nice to return to after a long day of fun! Thank you for sharing your your vacation home!

First impressions is overwhelming with lots of fake flower arrangements in vases and pots ,together with nicknacks everywhere,is a perfect dust collectors! Lots of extra furniture too. Master bedroom is also very crowded with quite outdated furniture. Kitchen was well stocked,and well functioning. The ground floor location with the view is very pleasant and comfortable, easy access to the well maintained grounds and to the parked car as well. Overall,comfortable,family oriented,near the airport and beautiful sandy beach that is very secluded .feels like private. We definitely welcomed that under the Covid circumstances,and in comperism with the popular overcrowded beaches like Kaanapali.
