The View & Experience

From the lanai, watch the sun rise over Haleakalā (House of the Sun), the long-dormant 10,000-foot volcano that defines Maui’s skyline. During the winter months (November through April), you’ll have a front-row seat to breaching humpback whales as they migrate to Maui’s warm waters to give birth and nurse their young.
