'From arrival to departure we were very impressed with our treatment and the accommodation pod we had booked. There are only cafe facilities at the weekend therefore the need to travel for food and drink was unavoidable but it is only a short drive into Gisborne. The beaches close by are a surfers paradise so would certainly suit the adventurous person, though not myself. An all round excellent stay. '

'My partner, sister and myself had an amazingly relaxing stay at the cottage. Our favourite spot was the back deck. There is beautiful view across the river to paddocks with cows grazing, and the sound of the river running below. Our thanks to John for a wonderful stay. '

'I booked the Verandah at Gisborne for myself and family to stay in for my wedding and the house was incredible and charming! Lots of space and bedrooms for a family and a nice large backyard and deck to relax and enjoy a meal. Comfortable beds and gorgous lounge. Highly recommend any family to stay here! Kathy has been great and responsive to any enquiries. We throughly enjoy our stay in Gisborne at the Verandah!'

'The setup was perfect for us, no problems, suited us well.The bookabach platform pretty much sucks though, I would not have been able to communicate with the owner at all if I had not got creative and found their contact independently - I would use bookabach again only as a desperate act of last resort. 'Beautiful house in a beautiful rural setting, so peaceful, we were sorry it was only one night. Outdoor shower is a must. Sally and Simon were superb hosts, super helpful and friendly. Sally's homemade treat was very much appreciated and we had a lovely walk around the farm, meeting the lovely dogs. Would highly recommend staying at this piece of paradise.'

'From booking, to arriving and then leaving the process was seamless. Andrew was brilliant and provided all the necessary communication to make my trip easy.The Bach itself is beautiful, every mod-con you could need in a self contained home away from home.It’s located in a truly picturesque part of NZ. If you love the beach and nature - this is the place for you.I would revisit Mahia and stay here again in a heartbeat.'

'Perfect spot to spend your stay in Gisborne. Kylia was super helpful without intruding on privacy. The room is really spacious and everything you need including a heat pump that kept the space really warm. We were there in a really cold few days in June so the only downside was the bathroom is in a separate area that is not heated. So bring some slippers if you coming in winter. It wouldn't have put us off staying here. '

'We loved our stay at Mahia. The bach had everything we needed and was clean. The modern amenities were a welcome change from the houses we've used in previous years. I had some difficulty getting a response from the owner through the app, but my husband was easily able to get check in information when he contacted them by phone.
