Historic house with lots of character!
We had a great stay…and very easy checkin/out process. Enjoyed the small fire pit/hot dog/smores. House has a ton of character and was fully stocked/supplied for all our needs. Thanks a bunch!!

Quiet Place to sleep when going to KSU game
Perfect house for hunters and fishermen. Upstairs had 2 nicer beds than the bed we slept on downstairs. The kids were too scared to sleep in the basement so we had to sleep in a hard bed. I’m not sure all the renovations are done yet as the downstairs closets (basement) were just covered in sheets. The trim has exposed deck screw heads throughout. I suppose it is a rustic look but bout what I would have done. Downstairs trim used pine 2x4’s. Downstairs bathroom has patched holes in the wall that aren’t smoothed. The downstairs shower is also kind of shotty with uneven plastic insert, holes drilled in it that aren’t plugged (mold potential) and unevenly gut curling slats. Perhaps the unevenness of this old house made it hard to work with. Regardless of the renovation negatives it’s a nice place to stay if you want a quiet place to sleep near the lake.

Great family stay

Enjoyed our visit- lovely old home! Comfortable living, dining and kitchen areas. Bedrooms were fine. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice to have wifi. Host was friendly, answering my questions about local restaurants and places of interest and check-in and out was a breeze. Loved the Wakefield pool...kids had a blast swimming. Mexican restaurant had great food! Lake is beautiful with the milford state park a few miles away. Also a park a block from the house offers a kids playground and disc golf course. The only negatives for me were just aesthetic ones, so merely an opinion and not a big deal. A few shrubs that need removing and a better grass mowing along house and sidewalks would improve appearance. There are bathroom and kitchen supplies for renters to use which I thought was awesome but their presentation could be organized. Would stay again!

Beautiful Home
This was an amazing experience for our family. This old house is very well kept and has unique charm. The neighborhood is quant and peaceful. Jenny was an amazing host and very easy to to get in touch with when we had questions. We would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect for what we needed, quiet neighborhood
Great older home in quiet neighborhood very close to multiple boat ramps to the lake. We rented in November for an annual hunting trip. We need room to put all our gear and be able to cook and in the evenings. The garage was perfect for storing gear. One plus-up is this place has GREAT water pressure for showers. Very nice to come back to after a long day to clean up and relax. Would rent again.

Friendly host
I rented this house for my daughter's birthday party. When Jenny saw it was me with six children, she reached out to ask if I needed anything extra (e.g., high chair, pack-n-play). When I told her thank you, but no because all of the "children" were pre-teens who were helping my daughter celebrate her birthday she asked my daughter's name and how old she was. When my daughter and I showed up, Jenny had a birthday banner on the entrance. Then, when we walked in the house, we found balloons, a card, and a gift for my daughter. This was definitely above and beyond. We were both touched by her thoughtfulness. Also, the house was clean, spacious, and well stocked with needed supplies. The only potential drawback was the location because there is not a lot around. This was not a problem for us because that is not why we were staying, but I wanted to let others know if they are looking for a house close to a lot of stuff. It is also important to point out that, as Jenny notes in the description, this is an older house, which I love. However, people who are used to newer homes might not enjoy the charm of an older home. Thank you Jenny for a wonderful stay! I would recommend you as a host to anyone!

Historic Charm
Communication with owner was excellent. This is a historic home with lots of charm. Close to the lake (you can see the lake from the back yard). 1 bedroom upstairs does not have ac. This was not a problem for us as we did not need that room but wanted to mention it for anyone planning to utilize the whole house. We would stay again.
