Geniet van een overvloed aan dieren in het wild terwijl u geniet van de zon op het dek, of terwijl u ontspant in de gezellige veranda van vier seizoenen. Met een open concept-living biedt deze ruime woning volop ruimte voor iedereen. Dit huis beschikt ook over een goed uitgeruste keuken, centrale airconditioning en vloerverwarming, een zolder met een zithoek en een gemeubileerd terras.

Wat is er in de buurt:
Ga naar buiten en verken de acht hectare grond, of laat je kajak of kano in het water vallen en waag je door de baai en in de rivier om je zintuigen te vullen met frisse noordelijke lucht. Breng de dag door met fietsen of wandelen tijdens de warmere maanden of kom en ervaar de prachtige winters en ski de uitgestrekte trail-systemen.

Chaney Lake is een 520 hectare groot meer in Gogebic County, Michigan. Vissers vinden hier een verscheidenheid aan vis, waaronder crappie, baars, snoekbaarzen, snoek, largemouth bass, brasem / bluegill, smallmouth bass en pompoenzaad zonnevis. Alternatieve namen voor dit meer zijn Channel Lake.

Super Clean House and Great View

We had a little trouble finding the property with the directions that were given because they had the road to find as Lake Shore not Lakeshore. Once we found the house we were pleasantly pleased! We rent houses quite frequently for vacation and this house was one of the CLEANEST we have rented!! The view is spectacular and very relaxing!

Gorgeous secluded property

We stayed at this house in September 2021; Myself, my husband, my 8 year old son and my mom. We read the reviews ourselves many times, and basically everything we read was true. Its a gorgeous, and very spacious, house. The setting is amazing if you are looking for seclusion. There are some things that I would say are most helpful to know, if you are looking to book this place. *We had a hard time finding out about cell coverage before we reserved this place. I will tell you that we have AT&T. We did have coverage, most of the time, at the cabin. But we are talking about 1 maybe 2 bars. It was intermittent and definitely not reliable. Since there is no wifi here, you are truly disconnected. *The house is isolated in a big way. You turn off of a 'highway' and travel about 10 minutes down a gravel road to get to the very end, where this cabin is. Leaving and coming back multiple times in a day is really more trouble than its worth. *The cabin does have supplies, but I would suggest not relying on those. For example, there was no laundry soap for us so we had to use our own. That's not an issue, as long as you prepare for it. So I would bring dish soap, laundry soap, all your normal supplies. *The water here off the dock/shoreline is really lovely, but very rocky. I would highly recommend water shoes as that then made it possible to travel quite far off the shore. Its shallow so you can walk a long way! *Bring food, make your own meals, there are very few food places anywhere within a reasonable distance and none of those are safe if you are very COVID cautious like we are. *We had no issues with the home being dirty. All I would say here is that we stayed near the end of the summer season and the kitchen was weirdly stocked with everything other renters had left over the summer. So if you would enjoy fairly full cabinets with leftover items from other people, this is a great plus! For us, we wanted cabinet space to put away the stuff we brought but every cabinet was full so it all just sat out on the counter for a week. *The freezer will leak on you. Seems like they turn it off or very low between customers which means we had water on the floor several times. We eventually just put a towel down and kept it there the whole stay. *The front door keypad has an odd feature I thought I would mention. Once you enter the code to lock it, if you try to pull the door (to check the lock) the keypad screams at you. It is STARTLING!

Nice cabin in the UP

Overall this was a decent rental. Let’s get the bad out of the way: it was dirty at check in. Sand left in the mud room, old water bottle under the bed, chips on the floor in the hall, a half eaten candy corn on the rug, a sticky trail of red juice running from the kitchen to the washer… not a great first impression. It was bad enough we had to vacuum and mop after arriving, and we are by no means clean freaks. Upkeep- showing some age, a couple of cracked steps on the porch, things like the handle on the screen door falling off, shower knob came off as well. Towel holder coming out of the wall. Location- private and quiet, right on the lake; it was great. Some nice amenities: not only canoe and kayaks, life jackets, binoculars, grill, etc, but also there was some wood, lighters, charcoal, kids toys and other things we didn’t expect. It helped out. Overall it was a pretty decent place, just sucked that we had to clean it ourselves, and does need a little handyman TLC. Not sure I would go back to this specific property in current state, as there are competing cabins with better upkeep and cleanliness.

This home was everything I’d hoped. Everything was well maintained. Only 1/2 hour from porcupine mountain state park. Only thing is no WiFi and we got no cell signal at all. So very off grid

The house was clean and nice. The heated floors are great. We went snowmobiling for the week. The trails are nearby. It was private as well. The lake is a good size. We didn’t snowmobile the lake though. The sunsets were nice too

Wonderful Experience!

This property was absolutely wonderful- the crashing waves were such a highlight! This rental is totally private, and you do not see neighbors on either side. The house is adorable, and fully stocked with games and things to do. We went to Kohler and Harrington State Parks- each just a short trip away. Such a great place to visit. The house does have a slight musty smell, however it was easily handled by throwing open the numerous windows and letting the lake air flood in. I would definitely recommend this lovely rental!!

Up North Getaway

The property is on a great location! The house is very comfortable, and almost too warm. The windows soak up so much heat, along with the heated floor, we never needed to build a fire. The outdoor firepit was lovely and the stars and trees did their part. Suggestions would be to have wood for guests to burn. We had to forage for sticks. Also, there are lawn chairs that can be brought down to the fire, so the old bench should be removed since it's not suitable for sitting on anymore. It is a great location for going out to find the amazing waterfalls that are all in the vicinity. No WIFI, so there was no music. A MP3 station would be a nice touch, so people could have something to listen to while they cook and play cards.

Things need to be fixed

You need to leave access code for the land line so people can reach you! Why would you be so good with child proofing, then put a platform bed in the master room for eve to trip over? You need railings by the front door and one by the porch steps. Some people need a little help with stairs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was beautiful and perfect for our group of 8. The canoe and kayaks were great for getting out on the lake! It is quiet and secluded, ideal for a week of relaxation!

Beautiful home and setting but mosquitos could carry you away

Our family had a wonderful time and enjoyed the home and lake. It was the perfect setting for my son to propose to his girlfriend. She said yes! I want the owners to know how much we appreciated their home. We could have done without the swarms of mosquitos. And wish the management company would have been more responsive to questions we needed to have answered before leaving on our trip. We will probably not rent from Vacasa again.
