Great house in a nice little town
Second time here. Great communication from the owner. Close to Lake Milford. Love the full kitchen and ability to cook real meals on our trip to fish Lake Milford. Clean and comfortable home. Definitely room for a large family. Having two full bathrooms is a big plus.

Great location for boating on Milford Lake
This location worked out perfectly for a weekend of boating. The house is very close to several docks. Kitchen was adequately stocked and gas grill was a plus. The owner is super easy to work with.

Perfect location for a family wedding
Tastefully decorated, supplied with everything you need and more. Communication was easy for me personally, Jenny was accommodating, friendly and very professional. Stairs into the rear of the home are extremely steep and not ADA friendly. It was not a problem as there are handholds mounted to the wall to pull yourself up. Anyone with agility problems would struggle.

Nice enough.
The locks on the doors didn't work, but we didn't really feel unsafe. The house was well maintained and we could see the owners trying really hard. The house itself is odd.

KSU Gameday alternative
We stayed here as a more economical KSU gameday alternative. Just 30 minute to BSFS! We used the well-equipped kitchen to prepare our tailgating food items. Enjoyed the SMART tv to watch football games when we returned to the property. Quiet and peaceful! There are steps to enter living area so keep that in mind. We’d definitely stay again!

30 minutes from Bill Snyder Stadium. 30 minutes from Junction City 5 minutes from Milford Lake. About a centrally located as can get for a weekend get away.

Wonderful getaway home
We picked this house as it was close to Lake Milford for fishing. All the cabins and resorts didn’t compare to the freedom we had staying here. Wakefield is a nice small community with friendly folks. Quiet neighborhood. Easy access and location. Owner was extremely concerned that all was well. Checked in online frequently assessing us for any needs. Great Wi-Fi and nice beds and home. Can easily accommodate a group of couples with the 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms/showers. Outside power for charging the boat. A couple of great local restaurants. We were very pleased with everything for my brother and the wife and I. Cooked meals nightly with the stove. Even enjoyed the smart tv for some shows a few nights.

Personalized Paradise
This was our first experience using Vrbo. It was an easy, painless process. The house was perfect for what my family needed, and Jenny made our stay even more comfortable with personalized touches for our family. I thought the property was closer to the lake, but everything at the house was so wonderful that not being right on the lake wasn't a big deal. If we are ever in that area again, we would not hesitate to book this property again.

Wakefield House
House is small but had everything we needed! Communication with owner was amazing! Description said one of the bedrooms had 2 beds in it and that was not the case. There are three beds in the house but we made it work! Just a couple of blocks to the lake and an easy drive to Manhattan!

Thanks again for staying with us, I will look on VRBO and get it changed where it says 2 beds in one bedroom. Sorry about that I didn't realize it said that. If you come back in the area again sometime, we would love to have you. The downstairs is getting another bed this week.

Jenny went above and beyond to make sure that our visit was fantastic! Communication, cleanliness, location, check-in, furnishings, beds, towels, blankets, even an extension cord for our boat, right down to the spices and condiments in the kitchen, were all literally perfect! I’m so glad I found her place and we will definitely be staying here again since we visit Wakefield often to fish at Milford Lake. Thank you!

The property was setup very well and the manager was awesome to work with. She reached out ahead of time to provide us the details and the place we fully stocked with all essentials to make sure our stay was great. The candy was a nice treat! We stayed a night passing from the southwest to Chicago. Jenny’s hospitality was so nice. She thoughtfully provided everything you could need and it was clear she wanted us to enjoy our stay. The house is cute and clean.

Truly a paradise!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfy, cozy cabin. The pictures don't begin to do it justice. It is in a wonderful quiet little town just west of Milford Lake. Perfect for a getaway while visiting Fort Riley. Jenny has excellent communication practices and was very kind to adjust to our check-in/check-out needs. We appreciated the red binder that had a clear explanation of where to find things in the kitchen as well as information on local places to eat. The cold waters in the fridge and mini snacks were also an unexpected surprise. There is plenty of private parking around back, and just a very peaceful atmosphere both in and around the cabin. I would highly recommend you consider this gem on your next visit!
