Lovely throughout very clean and tidy. However i went for the super king room but the bed wasnt the comfortiest it was two mattress together and one side was lover then the other with only 2 pillows which defeats getting a bigger bed for the night. The tv also wasnt a smart tv so not much choice of things to watch if your staying in there throughout the day. But overall it was a nice stay and would stay again just not in a super king bed.

Would definitely recommend!
We were so happy with our stay at Wakefield Lime Hotel. Such a great value for money and were welcomed with a warming smile from the hotel manager who was very helpful. A nice, relaxed environment compared to bigger chain hotels. didn’t mind us coming in late and even let us stay longer than we were supposed to in the morning. Although there was not a hot breakfast option, there was cereal, toast, cappuccino etc which was great to start us off for the day. Good location as it was only a 15 minute drive into the city centre. Thank you again to the hotel manager for being so kind and chatty, we would definitely stay again.

The lady who checked me in was lovely; very efficient and friendly. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable if maybe a little tired looking in places (in room 7 above the shower there were signs of a leak from upstairs). My room was very small which was fine as I was a single occupant, but definitely not big enough for two people. As there is no food offered on site it might be nice to have been supplied a little fridge or something in the room to keep milk and things cold. Nice that there is a welcome pack in the room that gives locations of local places to eat. Really not a fan of the check-out procedure at all! Due to reception only being open in the afternoon, and check out required by 10.30 am, you leave your room keys in a basket in the hallway. Meaning after you check out, but before the reception is manned, your room key is left out whereby anyone could take your room key and enter the room and cause damage, steal things etc. and the hotel would have to assume you did it. Really think a more secure post-box type system should be introduced if you want to continue with this check-out procedure. This is very much a "get what you pay for" type of hotel. Cheap compared to other hotels in the area, but also certainly lacks amenities. Would consider staying here in the future, but only as a single overnight stay if I was passing through the area.

Ok for a stop over
Overall I would say the hotel was fine for a stop over. Not sure I would want to spend a long time at the hotel. The room was nice, good value for the price and decently furnished. The staffing was a bit disappointing. There was no one on reception when we arrived and when someone did check us in, were then told the chef was off and there was no food available. It's proximity to the M62 also led to some road noise. We only used it as a base and only spent a short time in the room other than to sleep. I would suggest it would be fine for one night stop over, but wouldn't recommend for a long stay.

A converted vicarage. Set back from the road with ample parking. It is next to a motorway, however road noise was only evident when windows were open (so not something I think needs to be a concern). Restaurant (currently) closed, though there are tea/coffee facilities in room. Only one building has ramp access and (most) doors need two hands to operate (one for lock, one for handle). Overall economical, clean and easy to recommend as a place to stay.

Stay at Wakefield Limes
Overall for the price we paid I was happy with the accommodation & would stay again if in the area. There were some maintenance issues & little touches that could be improved on. The shower head was hanging down as the holder was broken so you had to hold the shower head with one hand. There were soap dispensers screwed to the wall but no soap containers in the holders. Little things like tea & coffee but no teaspoon to stir your drink & take a teabag out. There was a sticky patch on the bedside table & quite a lot of dust on the shelf underneath. The pillow cases were put on the pillows inside out which I thought was a bit odd. All small things that could be improved on with a bit more attention to detail. However it wasn’t enough to stop me staying again.

just needs a good hoover
Room was nice warm, and shower was really good and has a fridge, just disappointed with cleanliness of room. The bed was clean and comfy, but unfortunately it was like the floor hadn't been hoovered through, hairs and old toenail on the floor, carpet stained, condiments tray was dusty. Booked a room with a king size bed and was two mattresses pushed together. Hopefully my stay was a one off.

No chance of staying again
Turned up at 7pm just beforev the only staff member finished her shift. The advert said there was a restaurant and bar. Perhaps, but with no staff there were no facilities. After 7.30 you would have had to phone soneone to get access to a key box. The room was ok and there was free parking. But the hotel backs onto the motorway so you cannot open the window without being deafened. And you could hear the people next door. When i booked iit said it included a continemtal breakfast. No sign of that when we left just before 9. Generally worse than B&b.

Hello, apologies that you did not enjoy your stay we are in the process of rectifying the issue's you have raised. The breakfast offerings was supposed to be cancelled but for some reason they were still advertised with Expedia this, has been addressed.

No reception… no breakfast!!
Arrived and reception shut but according to website should of been open. Call number to be told I should of received an email telling me about a key code… no email. Accommodation very noisy due to location to main roads. Woke to go to breakfast only to have to phone up again to be told they had stopped breakfasts 3 weeks ago although included in offer on Hotels. Com website. Told I would receive compensation but heard nothing… overall an un impressive staff with no human contact!!

I am sorry that Hotels.com has stated breakfast included this was removed from the website sometime ago. The hotel is only manned part time, and lock boxes are used when we have very few check ins. We are updating our information to prevent this from happening again.

Lovely staff, hotel- not great!
The staff were excellent and really went out if their way to be helpful. Unfortunately, however, the hotel was very noisy with no sound insulation meaning that other guest's movement or relatively quiet conversation could be clearly and intrusively heard. I was disappointed in the breakfast on offer... despite having dining facilities, breakfast was a selection of pre packaged items in the room, with no fresh coffee... this seemed cheap, given the price of the room. The shower in my room was also problematic, as there was no way to effectively reduce the scalding temperature! Normally, the opposite is the problem! And the "king size" bed was 2 singles attached, with a big, uncomfortable ridge down the middle, that effectively made it a single bed only. The hotel did not live up to the standard of the service! Disappointing!

Dear Guest, We are very sorry that your recent stay was not as you expected. Breakfast is offered free of charge and is a simple choice of continental items. We tried to offer our guests something in way of breakfast due to the hotel not having a team of staff onsite at all times. It seems that by us offering this it causes more harm than good. Due to recent comments we have decided to no longer include the free breakfast and all rooms will be sold as room only. The Super king beds are zip and link and usually we do not have complaints about this. I will look into why it was so uncomfortable. We are sincerely sorry about the temp of the shower and this will be looked at with immediate effect.
