We had a wonderful stay. We only wished we could have stayed longer. The house and setting are both lovely. By day we could feast our eyes on views of the river from the deck and through the windows. By night we sat on the deck and star-gazed. We loved being able to walk down to the river and swim in it too. Even just listening to the sound of the river from the deck was relaxing. So was the hot tub. The house itself was beautiful, and very comfortable too. The kitchen was easy to cook in, and the dining table was more than big enough for the whole family. The big sectional sofa in the living room, the futon in the loft with great views out the big front windows) and the adirondack-style chairs on the deck meant there was plenty of lounging-around-reading space for everyone. We also really appreciated being able to do laundry as needed. Our seven- and nine-year old enjoyed the kids' room, with its cool bunkbeds and built in drawers; our twelve-year old enjoyed the "bear room" too. The kids had fun with the various adirondack-themed decorative elements in the house (e.g. "how many bears can you find?"), and we all appreciated how neat, pretty, comfortable, and clean everything was. The owner was very helpful and responsive to all our questions while we were arranging our stay. All in all, we loved our time at the River House!
