Downtown: Our Cottage is "zo dichtbij, maar toch zo ver weg!" U kunt minder dan 1 mijl lopen naar Panera Bread om uw ochtendkoffie en vers gebak te krijgen. Maar wanneer u de privéverborgen Holle steeg en de aangrenzende boerderij binnengaat, bent u omringd door het platteland!

Our family stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend and had a very good time. Other family member came and we very much enjoyed the firepit and outdoor space. The whole place is unique. I will say the house is sort of "quirky" and needs some fresh decor. Did not bother us as a group because it was family time.

Great house for family gathering. Beautiful view, beautiful rooms. I did not stay at this house but my family loved the crib, living room and overall feel and size of the house. Baby stayed in king room with a crib. Rented with the other house that can go with this property. Lovely house and the owners are very sweet and good communicators.

We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at this cottage. There was plenty of space for several adults who stayed with us for the weekend. Plentiful bedding towels and all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well stocked to cook and bake for various of meals. We had fun relaxing under the arbor of wisteria and at the firepit. Deer, turkey, and a groundhog were plentiful to see as they wandered around the adjacent farm. It is very quiet and yet so close to town. Very convenient for local sites, grocery, and restaurants. Pet friendly for our elderly pup. Sue is an excellent communicator and was available as needed for recommendation or to answer any questions. She checked in on us via text to make sure we were quite comfortable. We would definitely book this cottage again for a large family/friends gathering.

Pros: The outdoor area of the property is nice, good location within Warrenton, and the hosts were quick to respond when a problem arose. Cons: The house was very dark when we arrived and smelled like it had not been aired out for a while. Not the most welcoming, but we were tired from a long day of traveling and were ready to settle in. As we explored the rooms, oddly we had a hard time finding and figuring out how to use the light switches in order to turn on lights. It’s an older house, so not a showstopper. Unfortunately, when we reached the upper floor, there was a bad smell, and as we entered one of the bedrooms my husband found mice droppings on the floor and on the bed. We immediately reached out to hosts and informed them of the issue and that we would not be able to stay as we didn’t feel comfortable staying with rodents. We left the property immediately. Sue responded and said she had never seen mice in the house and that Gerry would be right over to check. Sue responded a few minutes later and asked that we think hard before requesting a refund as there was “only one drop hear [here] and their [there]”. Fast forward, VRBO has been very challenging to work with. The hosts only offered to refund 2 out of 5 nights along with the cleaning and pet fee. This is not even half the cost. Very disappointing experience.

Extremely comfortable home

Thanksgiving week with family and friends at the Cottage was perfect. This home is extremely comfortable, relaxing, well stocked with needed kitchen supplies. Was so fun being in the middle of town but felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful home available for rent.

Girls Weekend

We were a group of 8 retired women visiting for the Solheim Cup. It was very convienent to the course, restuarants. Beautiful sunrises. Kitchen had everything you would need. Outside deck and furniture was nice, but in need of cleaning off. Kitchen had a big table that we could all eat at. The only thing we had a problem with was there were a lot of bunk beds and being seniors, we did not feel comfortable climbing up to the tops. But we improvised. Overall, it was an amazing weekend.

Great Place to Stay

The house and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The bedrooms are clean and spacious, especially the main bedroom on the first floor. The outdoor firepit/hammock area is picture perfect. The house is so well decorated our group felt as though we were in a family's home, not a hotel or basic rental property. The rest of our family rented property up the road and being able to walk between the two houses was very convenient. The notes from the owner were so helpful and well placed, no flipping a dozen different light switches to find the right one! Everyone who was there is already trying to make plans to return! Thank you!

Nice stay in wooded area

We enjoyed being away from the noise of town in this wooded cottage. Outside space is the best part! Downstairs main bedroom nice, although I didnt like having no door between the bathroom and the bedroom, just a screen, but it was okay just a personal preference. The upstairs bedrooms are very basic like dorm room feel. Upstairs bath needs a small chair or bench in it to lay clothes on. The map room was fun for family, could use an extra chair or two in there as well. The kitchen is well-equipped with utensils, but bring your own paper towels, kitchen dish soap and detergent (not a surprise, just a reminder). Great communication with the owners. Enjoyed our stay!

Gerry and Supen were wonderful hosts for our week at the Cottage. Gerry was always quick to respond for any questions we had, and we had a blast with the karaoke! Beautiful Sanctuary

We had such a great time at this gorgeous cabin and the hosts were so gracious. We used it for our son's HS graduation. Perfect location! The house was equipped with so many things you often forget when you go on vacation. That was nice, no running back and forth to the store, although there is serval right up the road. The views were amazing and there is so much land to enjoy! Wish we could have stayed longer, but we had to get back to the real world. Highly recommended!!

This Guest Cottage in the thick, isolated Forrest near Warrenton was perfect for our group. It is large, spacious, clean and very well fit out with all kitchen equipment and accessories. Our group setttlef right in and the property enhances our experience. Our hosts Supen and Jerry were attentive and helpful. Deers and Turkeys spotted each morning. Definitely a property with nostalgic charm and design. I highly recommend this property for medium to large groups. It’s perfectly set up.
