We had a wonderful time at Coulter Farmstead. The property is very family-friendly. The kids had a great time playing with the cows, goats, and chickens. They especially enjoyed getting to hold two newborn goats. Katie and Justice are both kind hosts and I enjoyed learning about the history of the buildings. The kids also want to mention that breakfast was delicious!

This was a fantastic stay! If you are looking for rustic with modern accommodations this is for you. Justice is an outstanding host and responds quickly to texts. They serve breakfast for an extra fee, but its worth it if you like farm fresh food. Highly recommend.

Lovely place to stay!
Beautiful place... Clean, comfortable and relaxing! We stayed in the small cabin and it's like stepping back in time with all the modern conveniences like a cute bathroom, kitchen and AC. Would love to come again!

It was such a beautiful location and Katie was an amazing host! The morning fog, cabins and goats on the property added to the rustic charm. Also - the frozen dinners were excellent from the mercantile shope. We want to come back again!

The cabin was adorable but we got there during a rainstorm and the sidewalk to the cabin was flooded 3inches deep with water. It made for a difficult entry and I can’t even imagine how it would have gone if I had brought my dogs like I had originally planned to.

Y'all...stay here!
Y'all (I just have to start a review of this property with "y'all")...this place is amazing! And it's a beautiful property with everything you need for a get away. Our kids, 12 and 14 absolutely loved being on the farm and spending time with the goats, especially. The barn, the cabins, the house, it all just looks picturesque. And it's set in old Washington which is an amazing historic town. Just about 15 minutes outside of Hope, Arkansas (for creature comforts such as pharmacies, restaurants, and of course a Walmart--someone in our family always forgets something at home.) Stop by the blacksmith shop for the hands-on presentation, or you can do the full tour, complete with horse and buggy ride in the town of Washington. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen is just enough to meet your basic needs. Justice, was an amazing host. We also loved shopping for quaint gifts and pop-in-the-oven meals at the Mercantile. We will certainly be back! Y'all...stay here!

Out stay was amazing! The breakfast food s worth every penny and then some and the yogurt was the absolute best I’ve ever had in my life. The host was very pleasant. My husband and I enjoyed speaking with him.

Cozy Country Cabin
The cabin we stayed in was very cute and cozy. It was very quiet and in the country which made the night pleasant. It is quite chilly during the winter, but a small fire in the fireplace and the heater in the kitchen should warm the place right up. The cabin was also very well kept and clean. They are pet friendly and were very kind to our pet cat and dog. The owners were also very friendly and are happy to talk about the history of the cabins and the town. We will definitely be going back one day!

Off the beaten path
This was an amazing find! Off the beaten path. Not anything like the normal suburban side-of-the-highway hotels. We stayed in a little log cabin - one of several on a farm with goats and kitty cats and a salt water pool. The breakfast consisted of egg souffle, homemade apple muffins and a yogurt parfait. Not bad! The proprietors were lovely.

Amazing property. We stayed in the Bozeman Barn and were shocked at how fantastic the place was. I have a loud family and this was perfect. We hung by the pool and had a great time. Nothing to do with the property, however figure out what you are doing for activities in advance. Texarkana is thin on things to do and my kids only lasted about an hour diamond mining.

STAY HERE!
One of the most amazing places we have ever stayed! It's like stepping back in time but with all the modern conveniences. Our kids (ages 9 to 15) loved watching the goats/pigs and swimming in the pool. The town of Washington is just up the hill and is such a treasure, so many historic buildings to explore. We also went to Hot Springs, Crater of Diamonds and a water park, but the farmstead and the town of Washington were, BY FAR, the highlights of our trip!

Bradley is communicative. Penelope is the most adorable host we’ve ever had. The grounds are beautiful. We loved watching the kids (literal baby goats) running through the pasture.

Absolutely incredible little cabin! Booked this while driving through Arkansas, never been in the state before and really wanted somewhere to stay that I could spend some time outside with my baby and dog. So so happy the Farmstead popped up, I booked right away. My son loved seeing the goats and we enjoyed our dinner on the picnic table outside. Got to dip our toes in the pool cause it’s still not quite warm enough for pool days, but the bathtub made up for it. Such a cozy cabin with updated touches to make everything as comfortable as one could want. It was very clean and the grounds are beautiful. As someone who travels often with a pet, it was so nice to have somewhere pet friendly with plenty of room to walk my dog around. Only wish I could have stayed long enough in the morning for the breakfast cause it sounded delicious! I’ll just have to come back.

The whole property is unique considering its a farmstead thats almost 200 years old! Bradley (the owner) has managed to keep the rustic pioneer feel of the place while including modern amenities. I didnt explore the town much, just enjoyed the quiet solitude of the property I was a little dissapointed the only animals he had were goats (there's a horse & some chickens shown in the photos) but the goats were funny & all pregnant. Just wish they'd had the babies while i was there! Bradley is very friendly & knowledgable about the area. The general Store on property has cut & unique gift items. Being that it is out in the country my phone service was weak or non-existant (even in nearby Hope, AR) and I had to use wi-fi to make calls but that may have just been my carrier. I was there alone and the first night I was the only guest on property & a little anxious anout being a female out in the woods by myself, but the cabins are very secure and nothing happened-not even woodland critters came around! After that night i had no concerns and felt completly safe. It was a wonderful and heartily needed respite from everyday life. I do plan on coming back & bringing my family its just such a great place & i want them to experience it too! Thanks again Bradley it really was a wonderful experience!

We all loved the atmosphere of the red barn! There were 5 of us & I was afraid the teenagers would think this was stupid, but they absolutely loved it! There are pigs and goats & cats which was my 14 yr olds favorite. The older ones loved seeing the millions of stars at night. There were tons of boardgames to play, so we had fun with that. Then the next morning we had ordered breakfast. We all agreed, it was the best yogurt any of us had ever had!!! The beds & duvets were very cozy. The experience was wonderful and one that my kids will never forget! And we all want to go back.

By far the best place I have ever stayed!!!!!
This place was amazing. I will definitely stay here again. Do the breakfast for 10 bucks because it was amazing. Brad is a great hist and the property is beautiful. My kids especially loved the goats and the pool. The area was beautiful and quiet. Its a little distance to any diners but most deliver and you have a full kitchen. Thank you brad this place was amazing

Bradley has put together a retreat that pays homage to its historical roots with modern amenities and comforts. Our family was able to stand in awe of the craftsmanship and historical details, while relaxing to the sounds of nature. What a trip! Coulter Farmstead...a MUST stay!
Our family had an amazing time! Brad was a wonderful host and we loved the barn and loft. OMG, the beds were so comfy! I could have stayed longer! Don't even get me started on the egg souffle! You MUST order breakfast when you stay! We came to town to go diamond mining and we will definitely be back to visit and stay longer.

The cabin was so friend. The quilts were so beautiful. The cabin was so clean. It felt like a home away from home. The only bad thing about my trip oh, was I didn't get to stay longer at The Farmstead. The owner was a pleasant man with lots of answers for all my questions. Given the opportunity, I would go back with no worries. Out past our cabin we were able to enjoy the fire pit at night. As sitting in the rocking chairs on the deck was so relaxing. Interacting with the animals was also so much fun. And my son enjoyed the pool. The cabins are kind of far away from each other come up which makes it excellent if you need quiet time to yourself.

Very quiet and unique place to stay. So relaxing and its a great place to get away from the normal busy schedule. Pool was beautiful and it was so nice to look up at the sky to see all the stars without the city lights. Be ready for that train going by at 2am!

Oh my word! This place is amazing. If you're looking for something off the beaten path and a old world feel but still has all your modern amenities, then this is a place for you. Stopping Here a Must!
My daughter and I checked in for two nights on our cross-country trip back to the west coast. We had a wonderful stay. The barn loft was an incredible experience that we hope to do again. Breakfast was great, the animals we fun and the owner did everything to make sure our stay was great. I would highly recommend.

A real working farm. The barn loft is really nice The entire area is full of historical buildings and the farm has a cotton gin with all the equipment that goes with it
