'Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!'

'It’s was amazing !!! The 3 separate buildings, a private pool, cabana , outdoor Showers & soaker tub ….it was simply the best place we’ve ever stayed !! 'We enjoyed our stay at this home. Very peaceful and a large home especially for the price. It was very clean and comfortable. A few things to note.. There were no outside pool chairs which really detracted from the nice outside area as there was nowhere to sit and unwind. A couple of deck loungers would have made this a full five star property. 'The house was clean and well-stocked to cook. Beds were comfy and the AC worked when power wasn’t out. House manager Jeanette was so awesome — communicative, friendly, helpful. She also rents golf carts to 18 and our teens loved zipping around Hopkins and having some freedom. The seaweed was pretty bad at our house but plenty of docks a couple houses away to access the ocean.'
