Checked in at front desk and was given our room keys. Went to room only to find out that it wasn't ready. Went back to desk and was told that the room was marked as ready. While I was there another guest also came back to the desk with the same problem. I understand mistakes are made but at least an apology would have been nice! We left the hotel and let her know that we would be back 2 hours later. When we came back the room still wasn't ready!! They quickly got somebody to get the room cleaned. Once we got access to the room we discovered that there was a wall in the shower that had plastic and duct tape covering it and there was no shelf to hold our shampoo, soap, etc. Bathroom sink also drained very slowly. The hotel was fully booked so we just had to deal with it all. On our second day there we returned to our room only to find that our key cards didn't work. Went to the front desk once again and was told that we probably had our cards next to our phones. This I found hard to believe as it was both of our key cards! Upon checkout I mentioned the plastic in the shower and the lack of a shower shelf and the slow draining sink. I believe she jotted down the lack of a shower shelf and the slow drain but seemed to just shrug off the taped up shower wall. It seemed that she was aware of it! I understand that things may be under repair but it would have been nice to get an explanation,an apology, or offered a REDUCED ROOM RATE.
