Boek een ontspannen verblijf in deze luxe blokhut met hoogwaardige voorzieningen en een prachtig uitzicht op de bergtop over de Smoky Mountains! Hoofdniveau heeft een complete keuken met zitplaatsen in de bar plus een ruime eethoek, gewelfde grote kamer met een stenen houtgestookte open haard, master suite met queensize bed, complete badkamer met douche en wasmachine / droger. Boven beschikt over een grote zolder die comfortabel kan slapen vier gasten, samen met een tweede master suite met een kingsize bed en een aparte complete badkamer met een bad en douche. Grote overdekte veranda zorgt voor een maaltijd buiten op de picknicktafel of ontspannen met een goed boek van de schommelstoelen met uitzicht op de bergen. Overdekte veranda is voorzien van een houtskoolgrill met een ruim terras, compleet met een hot tub met zout water. Het dek leidt naar de aangepaste vuurplaats waar u kunt genieten van een nacht bij het vuur onder de sterren. Het huis biedt privacy om te ontspannen en tot rust komen terwijl het op enkele minuten afstand van de gemakken en activiteiten van het pittoreske Maggie Valley en het charmante centrum van Waynesville ligt. Het is slechts 16 mijl naar de Cataloochee Entrance naar het Great Smokey Mountains Park. In de ochtend graast hier een grote kudde elanden. Extra kenmerken van dit mooie vakantieobject zijn hardhouten vloeren en gratis WiFi. Tv's bevinden zich in de woonkamer en beide master suites. Het hok bevat bordspellen en dvd's. De keuken is volledig gevuld met alle kookgerei, borden en bestek. Een kort half uur rijden naar Biltmore Estate en het prachtige centrum van Asheville, een rit van 20 mijl naar Harrah's Casino, 10 minuten naar Cataloochee Ski Resort en meer.

Perfect spot for our mountain getaway. Highlight was watching the moonrise over the mountains from the porch! Quiet, beautiful view from the hot tub and cozy fireplace to enjoy after a day of hiking. Property was as advertised, kitchen well stocked with any equipment we needed. We had a great stay!

Amazing property in a beautiful area

Our family of four stayed here for a winter long weekend. We were looking for a mountain cabin with beautiful views and a hot tub that was close to the Cataloochee ski area, and this property more than delivered. The cabin itself is amazing. The knotty pine interior was warm and cozy and delivered the mountain vibes we were after. We loved the fox theme, and our kiddos made a game out of spotting and counting them. The two-story stone fireplace is a work of art, and we enjoyed fires every evening. The downstairs bedroom was so comfortable, and our kiddos had so much fun sleeping in the loft The cabin was spotless when we arrived, and the check in/ check out processes were so easy. We didn’t do much cooking but also found the kitchen to be very well stocked. The #1 draws, though, were the view and the hot tub, and they didn’t disappoint. Just, WOW. Stunning scenery off the porch, with painted sunrises every morning. And getting to relax in the hot tub under the stars after a day of skiing was such a treat. We also enjoyed the proximity to Cataloochee and other fun ancticities (like the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad) and restaurants in the area.Can’t say enough good things and we hope to be back!

Fun!

We used the fire pit for roasting marshmallows, relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the ever changing view! Door Dash will deliver, but need to check the restaurants. Great playground in Waynesville on West Marshall Street for young children. Great restaurants to visit. Cataloochee Ranch restaurant has a wonderful staff, expensive and delicious. It has amazing views and fun outside activities after brunch for my young grandsons. Beach Mountain Diner on Hazelwood Ave. has a delicious breakfast, lovely staff and affordable.

Great Spot in the Mountains

We woke up each morning to see why they call them the Smokey Mountains. Beautiful views and great porch to sit on. House was great too. Nice family room and great loft area for the kids. Would highly recommend! Driveway is steep but very manageable even with a full size suburban. Public trash locations to drop off a bag or two of trash from the stay were very easy to find and convenient to use. Overall a great property.

Smoky Mountain Family Vacation

The cabin was very nice and secluded. It is a steep incline getting there, but the view is amazing. They had a good variety of pots/pans and all staples you would need. Only one downfall is getting rid of the trash. It is fine during the week, but we left out on a Sunday and all public trash dumps are closed. They could potentially make it possible to leave one trash bag if you check out on Sunday. All in all, it was a great trip.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful inside and out. Very spacious, lovely decorations and furniture, and there was plenty of kitchenware. Awesome Stay!

Beautiful house at the top of the mountain. Very handy Maggie Valley and Waynesville for skiing, shopping and eating out. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking as well. We had a great stay and would rent again.

Lovely New Years escape

Pros: Vickie replied quickly to every query, both prior to booking and during our stay. Photos and property description are accurate. Secluded - there are a couple cabins in close proximity, but we only saw one car there in 5 days. The views off the porch overlooking the valley are wonderful. The cabin’s fox theme was cute - young children could make a game of counting all the foxes they can find while you unpack! The town of Waynesville is lovely. Great location: We enjoyed skiing at Cataloochee ski area (so close!), Anakeesta theme park in Gatlinburg, and Well Played board game cafe in Asheville, among other nearby adventures. Fireplace was very nice. Cons: Upon our arrival, we found evidence of a critter having been in a kitchen drawer. Vickie was very apologetic and said her cleaner would rectify the situation, which was apparently due to the prior guests having left trash at the house. (No trash removal there, so you must take your trash with you). We found a bottle of shampoo and conditioner in a drawer for us to share between the two bathrooms, but we’d expected those amenities to be set out, per the property’s description. The upstairs bathroom held a nice set of white bath towels, but the towels and bathmats downstairs were quite worn. We enjoyed the hot tub, but the massage jets did not work. Overall, though, a nice stay thoroughly enjoyed by my whole family.

The location and home are lovely but the overall stay was just okay. I did not receive an email with the code for the door to enter. I attempted to contact the host a couple of times before we arrived but eventually had to call VRBO to get it resolved. Upon arrival, the driveway, porch, and fire pit area were covered in leaves. Yes, it’s Fall and leaves will drop but it was not very welcoming or a good first impression. The interior of the home is in need of a “refresh.” The furniture and mattresses have seen better days. Also, it desperately needs a deep clean (cobwebs and dust). The listing states that paper products are included but there was 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom with no extra which required another trip to the store. Lastly, you are instructed to take your garbage to a collection site upon departure but they are not open on Sunday. We ended up placing it in a dumpster at a local business which was very inconvenient and illegal. We did not feel it was worth the overall expense.

Awe-inspiring

What an amazing stay! We go to the Great Smoky mountains every fall and absolutely loved our time here! The cabin is a perfect spot because you are close to pretty much anything you might want to visit in the area! The deck is sutuated so you get to watch the sunrise come up from behind the mountain every morning and it is absolutely breath taking! Everything you need is provided! What an amazing hostess! We came to just BE and that is exactly what we did! Ingles grocery is a short distance and i highly recommend picking up some Raimbow Trout to throw on the grill! Cabin is very clean! We grilled, had fires in the fire pit, and relaxed in the jacuzzi! I highly recommend this property and although we usually stay different places every time we go to the mountains we would definitely consider returning to Vickies property! You cant go wrong with this one! Thank you so muxh Vuckie for sharing your home with us! We made some beautiful memories here!
