'This is a gorgeous little property. We met Diane as we arrived, she was so lovely and accommodating (nice little touch was the biscuits and doggy treats. The bedrooms were warm and comfortable, the kitchen/living area was small but well equipped (no cooking on holiday!). We will certainly go back to The Bothy next time we are in the area.'

'Charming cottage, in a quiet location close to the Roman sites we wanted to visit along Hadrian's Wall. 'Had the pleasure of spending a couple of nights here with my partner and 3 daughters. A great place to get away and spend some quality time. It feels very remote but at the same time is close enough to drive or jump the train into Newcastle for the day. It was great sitting around the firepit in the evening after a soak in the hot tub! Plenty here for the whole family we would definitely stay again. '

'Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. 'During our stay we had plenty of time to take in the amazing views and due to the great location go on long walks. Drove to Hadrian’s wall and completed a great but challenging (for me) walk all our party completed with a well deserved stop at sycamore gap.
